Management doesnt stand up for drivers. Soooo Much BS Safety My Butt. Were so top heavy what took (Rabanco) 8 people to do now takes close to 20 (republic) people. lets hire someone else to figure that out!
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to dirvers we have more time doing this job then our bosses. Most havent done anything with Garbage except take it out to the curb.

Pros
They are one of the most competitive waste companies in the triangle area and no one is paying as much.

Management can be a joke at times. There is a huge lack of communication. They is a lack of respect also.
Advice to Senior Management
Reward the drivers that are there year after year giving their blood sweat and tears and not the newbies like they do now.
Pros
Good Money and Benefits with autonomy.
Cons
Allied Waste's horrible customer service leads to clients calling in and complaining. It's a tough position to defend when the pricing tends to be the highest in the industry.
Advice to Senior Management
Better customer service leads to better retention rates. This will allow you to keep rates high and not have to worry about bringing on new business constantly. Its cheaper to keep business than get new business.
Pros
Usually there are no layoffs, however when there are, management favors the the company suck asses
Cons
they always want you do complete more work with less resources and then complain when job isnt done
Advice to Senior Management
Get your heads out of your assess and realize there is a manager within the company that likes to see other managers fail in hopes he will be promoted to a higher position
Pros
Minimal work demand, hours are very manageable
Cons
very poor chance for growth, Allied does not target top-line growth,
Advice to Senior Management
get a strategy, don't just follow Waste Management. If Allied is not going to focus on Recycling now, then they surely never will. Top managers are only interested in minimal, incremental revenue growth, and have zero long-term vision.
