    Pros

This company has good hours. It provides overtime. They have great benefits and give you a week of vacation every year.

    Cons

Some of the sites that you might possibly work at have limited officers so requesting time off might be difficult. The process of getting hired on is lengthy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Vacation time should be accrued for people working 32 hours a week and not just 40.

    Pros

Depending on the account it could be a laid back job.
You might get some school work done depending on what is going that day.
The people you interact with at your post could be friendly.

    Cons

The pay was terrible compared to the hours I worked.
The health insurance isn't that great.
You may never receive a pay raise or evaluation despite your best effort.
Good luck with getting your full vacation pay and time.
Being transferred to another account can be difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please evaluate your employees accordingly, so we can receive the pay increase that we deserve after putting in time with your company. There should be no reason I didn't receive an evaluation when I never missed a day of work and was on time to complete all my daily duties when all other companies offer them. Please make it easier to transfer from one post to another. Please open up the lines of communication to management.

    I worked at AlliedBarton

    Pros

*Easy work for the low average pay
    *Friendships built with coworkers
    *Location of work
    * I can't think of any other pros

    Cons

*Pay compared to other security companies is like working minimum wage
    *Low chances of advancement
*Too many responsibilities for the pay
*Extremely difficult to take a day off (even after a 2 month notice!)
*Health insurance is not even health insurance its a supplement to help pay medical bills (co pay is $75)
*Micromanagement at its best, every week coming back to work there are new policies to follow or not follow making it impossible to know whats allowed or what to do then the employee gets in trouble for not following policy
    *Favoritism
*16 hour long work days! if your relieve called off and they can't find someone to cover that shift. Then if you try to say you can't work it YOU get in trouble. (Driving home after a 16 hour work day then having to come back in 8 hours is a health hazard and a driving hazard!!!)
*No union because of some political crap and the way security officers are employed
*Some customers look at you in a demeaning way
*Life to work balance is unrealistic at some locations (at least where I was)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES! LONG HOUR WORK DAYS ARE NOT HEALTHY! and pretty much fix every thing in the "Cons" section
