I worked at Allina Health (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are so many wonderful things that Allina is involved with and it was so exciting to be a part of one of the best health care organizations not only in the state, but in the country.

    Cons

The compensation is lacking a lot. They pay way below market value and if you are an internal employee accepting a different job, they pay you the minimum on the pay scale. They are losing great people and great skills over compensating their employees fairly.

    Advice to Management

Do some research on salaries and competitors around town and keep your employees happy. They work hard for a great organization!

I have been working at Allina Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Allina has a really great vision and mission, and its strategy is very well communicated throughout all levels of employees. People are passionate about what they do, and they have purpose behind their work efforts. Team work is encouraged. Work life balance is great. Management is understanding of people's needs outside work.

    Cons

Depending on the team, some of the managers are not so great at dealing with behavior or work related problems that may be present. This creates a difficult work environment for everyone on the team. You have to use your PTO hours to cover vacation days as these are not actually paid by the company.

    Advice to Management

Deal with the difficult people on your teams and lead fairly for the sake of everyone under your authority.
