    Pros

Decent pay and benefits. 100% matching 401(k) up to 4% with a immediate vesting.

    Cons

Very little vision from upper management. Everyone in the company seems to be working in a silo without any direction to work together for the greater good.

I worked at Allscripts full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is generally good, at least for project managers. They do provide a lot of basic tools is you have no experience and want to learn project management.

    Cons

Since Paul Black took over as CEO Its not what you know, its who's butt you kiss. If you are not into tickling ears and telling people what they want to hear, this is not the place for you. They act like they want peoples opinions and welcome suggestions for how to improve, but don't fall for it. Once you give an opposing viewpoint you are label and "not a team player" or "inflexible and not willing to get on board with the program". Once that happens they start secretly viewing your emails and IMs. and looking over your shoulder on everything to find something to use to get rid of you. Working at Allscripts is like working for the Gestapo - you must watch every word you say, you never know who to trust and must constantly be watching your back. Never seen so many people lie straight to your face.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people you trust and trust people you hire! Consider the possibility that the direction you are headed just might not be the best direction to go.

    Pros

Many different opportunities exist in EHR and Healthcare.

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider the technical underpinnings of your solutions and not just the 'clinical' aspects.

Current Employee - Post Acute Sales in Remote, OR

I have been working at Allscripts full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Close knit colleagues that band together despite hardships at company

    Cons

Close knit culture because colleagues are banning together due to being beat up by management. Folks that exceed quota are not guaranteed club. Commissions being held in some cases a full year. Folks put into management roles that have questionable motives and knowledge. No update to products in some cases for over 10 years. Talent is quitting with huge turnover

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change management and or get more involved in middle management decisions to prevent the reputation from being worst than what it currently is portraying
