I worked at Allscripts full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great Environment of people; pretty competent managers; and usually on the verge of new Technologies customary for the Marketplace.

    Cons

Becoming a company that Outsources and cares more about the metrics than their clients and Software.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to your client's and staff, then the numbers game of metrics.

I have been working at Allscripts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

"Ok" benefits, some knowledgeable people to work with.

    Cons

Senior management changes it's direction every couple of months. They keep on changing roles and responsibility of people. If you are on senior management side, you get all the appreciation regardless of your performance. People get promoted just because they were close to senior management regardless of their performance. If you are on other side of management, no matter how good you perform, you won't get appreciation.Senior management encourage politics, favoritism and manipulation. Senior management and people close to them, manipulate stories and turn it into blunt lie. People close to senior management are spreading lot of negativity, which is adversely effecting work environment and quality of product.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring senior management which respect hardworking and smart employees and give appreciation when it is due instead of keep on promoting people close to them regardless of performance. And also they concentrate on delivery of product and not concentrating on politics for creating their own kingdom

I have been working at Allscripts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you're in upper management, you're making money. Top brass always gets their cash. If you live in India, you'll probably be very successful. Other than that, the only Pros are: Better than digging ditches. Get to work indoors. Not active combat. No risk of being attacked by wildlife.

    Cons

Look through these "reviews", the only positive ones come from employees in India.
During the last few years, Allscripts has cut benefits and compensation meanwhile, they're sending more and more jobs to India. There have been constant changes in management and everyone wants to be the boss but, no-one wants to take responsibility. Employee training is awful an no-one cares because they can use that as an excuse not to promote or compensate employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being so self-serving. Think about your employees and your customers, not just lining your own pockets.

I have been working at Allscripts full-time

    Pros

Practically none. That seems to have been the case for some time.

    Cons

Outsourcing. Poor products. Lack of real leadership. Company does not care it's people at all. Seems to be something added or changed every month that makes life at Allscripts worse. Many good people have moved on leaving offshore hires who have no idea what they are doing and for the most part cannot use the English language.

    Pros

Great organization to develop extensive knowledge and experience in Healthcare IT.

    Cons

Cost cutting measures in the past year or so may be contributing to employee disatisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cost cutting measures are understandable, but understand the true impact cutting costs has on the client experience.

    I worked at Allscripts full-time

    Pros

    Good people to work with.

    Cons

Disconnect through the ranks in the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management was a little disconnected from the people who were client facing and that was hard to relay what needed to be done as a company.

I have been working at Allscripts full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nice office spaces. Very recognizable color scheme for company shirts.

    Cons

Everything in the company all about short term sales and when they don't happen the development people become the scapegoats. Most of the old values and old leaders are gone. Don't really see people getting promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have some smart, hard working employees who really care about the company. Stop rewarding cronies and pay attention to the good people on the front lines and in the trenches.
