Current Employee – been working at Allstate full-time for less than a year
Pros – Pros are decent salary and work with some fun people
Cons – Working late night's I mean into 1:30 in the morning that includes weekends, it's become agency support so you can only max out your monthly bonus to 2400 a month. Too much micro management. People are dropping like flies because of the new changes I've been there less than 3 months and I'm already looking for a change. I know Allstate is a great company but right now working there just isn't worth it
Advice to Senior Management – Get back to commission based structure and m-f day time hours people don't want to be working the same hours as a bartender for a professional type job.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Allstate as a contractor for more than a year
Pros – Great work culture
Friendly Co-workers
good work/ home culture
Management typically wants to see their employees do well
Flexible work
Cons – depending on manager you can be micromanaged
more of culture of who you know rather than what you know in regards to promotions.
Can be a very clicky atmosphere.
Advice to Senior Management – Get more in touch with those at the ground level. Some of the processes are outdated and can be upgraded to be more efficient and less stressful on your employees yielding more effective numbers.

Current Employee – been working at Allstate full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Great work environment. However Allstate is changing the agency expectations therefore important to seek employment with an agent who is supportative in the marketing and sales efforts of their staff.
Cons – Each Allstate office is owned by an independent agency owner. Therefore salary, commission and benefits for licensed staff vary and are completey up to the agency owner. If seeking employment with a newer agency, more agents are starting licensed staff at a lower base salary, my experience around $18K - $20K + commission and benefits are not great and there is more turnover. The more seasoned agency owners start slightly higher but with Allstate revamping the agency owners structure with the company even the more seasoned agents are downsizing.
