    Pros

    Good benefits package, amazing PTO, offer both 401K and a pension plan, good corporate culture, management makes a real effort to recognize employees and make you feel appreciated

    Cons

    heavy work load, often stressful

    Pros

    The Leadership Development Program is a great way to gain experience at an accelerated pace. Over the past few years I have been able to lead teams, network with senior leaders and gain access to many opportunities that would be readily available to someone outside of the program. The program team is amazing and everyone has been extremely helpful and supportive.

    Cons

    The only issue is the commute if you choose to live in Chicago.

    I have been working at Allstate full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    On the job training for what they expect. Good flexibility after 6 months, numerous ways to stay involved with the company. Great time off.

    Cons

    Too many internal mandatory processes. You are managing the completion of documentation. Too much leadership change & layoffs are every 2 - 3 years for at least the last 10 years. Expect to work some weekends based on need.

    Advice to Management

    Look into fixing internal tools that support the work we do. Not have them add additional time onto our days.

    Great company, stable, competitive, different things to do each day, great leadership principles.

    Cons

    Hard to get promoted in a Region unless willing to move family. Depending on your manager - lack of flexibility. Lack of different teams working together for the same creative vision (silos).

    Advice to Management

    Provide more flexibility so you can keep talent.

    Pros

    This company has an incredible work/life balance. You work 8 or 9 hours/day including lunch and when you leave, you don't take work home with you. You can also work from home at times if deemed appropriate by your manager.

    Cons

    The pay is not as great as some other companies, but the benefits are truly incredible. Great insurance coverage.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing. You're really turning this company around to be amazing!

    Pros

    A lot of support from co workers and management. The understand the need for work/life balance. They invest a ton into the employees well being.

    Cons

    Surprised that they are so far behind when it comes to technology. A lot of their applications are dated. But, they are even making strides her there have been a lot of updates and more to come.

    Advice to Management

    None really, just please keep investing in technology it makes such a difference. Work will be done much more efficiently.
