I have been working at Allstate full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Salary, training and people who work there are supportive and friendly. Great place to go for a job without a degree and sales experience, or for someone fresh out of college.

    Cons

They like to talk about how many opportunities there are to move up or around in the company, but you must be known and in the back pocket of some managers in order to do so. (Kissing butt is a good quality). The hours are terrible mostly 2nd shift and always working weekends. Their attendance policy is stricter than any company I've ever worked for. It sucks being hired near the holidays as well with little to no PTO given for new employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think about your employees lives. There isn't any balance for life/work. Make more opportunities for better shifts.

I have been working at Allstate

    Pros

If youre in a perfect world, you can make decent commission on your bundled policies.
You don't have to work weekends.

    Cons

Their rates are high in a lot of areas, and the leads they give you cant be sold because of it.
Regardless of how good you are in other aspects of the job, if you cant sell their crap leads and make the production the agency owner wants youre gonna get the boot.
You're a telephone stalker, calling phone number constantly until they speak to you, hang up on you or yell at you for blowing their phone up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Underwriting needs to redo their rating system.
