I worked at Allstate full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The immediate manager was awesome and invested in our success. The benefits were awesome, the facility was new, parking was onsite and the location was accessible via expressway.

    Cons

Frequent shift changes with split days off. Poor work/life balance. Favoritism in some departments in regards to position consideration and promotion.

    Advice to Management

The employee's track record should outweigh who they are friends/family with.

Hard to get promoted in a Region unless willing to move family. Depending on your manager - lack of flexibility. Lack of different teams working together for the same creative vision (silos).

    Advice to Management

Provide more flexibility so you can keep talent.

This company has an incredible work/life balance. You work 8 or 9 hours/day including lunch and when you leave, you don't take work home with you. You can also work from home at times if deemed appropriate by your manager.

The pay is not as great as some other companies, but the benefits are truly incredible. Great insurance coverage.

A great place to learn the business. Has some of the best products on the market can compete with anybody.
