    Pros

    - Casual work life, less stressful, Interesting challenges.
    - Their benefit package is amazing, starting with 25 days from day one.

    Cons

    - Salary is quite not as competitive as other companies in the area
    - Talents are extremely varied amongst individuals
    - Salary should be considered reasonable for many individuals, but not all

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - More competitve salaries
    - Fix by hiring more talented, hard-working individuals to balance out.

I worked at Almac Group full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Intelligent, hard working, dedicated co-workers.
    On site gym

    Cons

Building is new but too small already, not enough parking.
Management is inconsistent across departments and levels.
Pay is not commensurate with experience and skills.
No work like balance for lower level employees. Managers can work from home, flex schedule, etc. but promote themselves as a flexible company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Standardize practices across departments
LISTEN to the employees - they are your best resource, if they say there is something wrong, at least take a look at it.

I have been working at Almac Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Has an on site Gym, there are several good people (co-workers), nice building, somewhat OK 401k, pretty good PTO time.

    Cons

Horribly policies that treat certain work groups like dirt, and others like gold. Worst Micromanagement I've ever seen. Medical benefits get worse and worse and more expensive every couple of years. There is zero communication and no useful training. There is not room for growth. There is no direction from Management other than finger pointing, blaming, and generally making the employees feel as though they are worthless.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the changes now, or continue to send the company on a downward spiral. The writing is on the wall, and the words are clearly coming out of the employees mouths. Almac used to be a great company to work for; sadly it is becoming the toilet of Pharmaceutical companies. Good employees find good companies to work for. Almac is no longer one of the "good companies"

    Pros

PTO, benefits if you're single. If you have a family the benefits are very expensive! Good company to learn the industry or fresh out of college.

    Cons

Not EOE, racist, gender bias. If you're a female you will have no issues moving up. They do play favorites. If you are an experienced professional don't waste your time unless you absolutely need a job till something better comes along. Most of management has been there since they started in the U.S. It's the good ol boys club. Compensation is horrible for experienced professionals. Almac capitalized on applicants when the market was down. When things got better everyone jumped ship. Don't sign the non-compete and if you leave don't tell anyone where you are going.

    Pros

Growing company, lots of opportunity for those who want it and are willing to work for it. Very good PTO package and great co-workers.

    Cons

Salary could be more competitive but overall comp package is fair. May need to put in extra time to meet deadlines but this is expected in most companies.

I worked at Almac Group full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    The job is super easy

    Cons

On the production floor at the NAHQ in Souderton, PA everyone is clique-ish and catty and the work is inconsistent. They also play favorites when it comes to promoting from within (work ethic and employee reviews factor in very little as long as you are close with the right supervisors

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management training for all supervisors and department directors would be great, and don't encourage tattle-telling from co-workers about petty stuff because it perpetuates discontent among employees and cultivates a negative work environment

I have been working at Almac Group full-time

    Pros

Co workers are wonderful people. Benefits are very good as well as the PTO time is approx. 15- 20 days to start.

    Cons

Management team lacks intelligence, Production Managers certain Supervisors have no degrees and one has NO experience as Supervisor. Favoritism is out of control, everyone gets the same raise no matter how their work ethic is. Operators are allowed to come to work and sit all night as others around them work hard. Management does NOTHING to write up individuals that deserve it, either for lack of attendance or attitude. Production Supervisors push all work off on Production Coordinators as they explore the internet and their cell phones. Quality has NO POWER and are overridden by upper management. Morale is so low within in Production and more keeps being taken away.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of certain Managers and Supervisors and replace with people that care about their work. Learn to follow your SOPs all the time and not some of the time. Promote people from within that deserve it and not just people that say "yes" or your friends.
