Not a place to stay long term- pay and benefits not competitive

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThey treat their therapists well so it's good for them. They're always hiring so you can get a job. They're very structured and strict if you like that. They do take care of their patients and will do more for those patients than other home care agencies.

ConsNo raises, difficult to get anything accomplished as everything is approved by upper management who micromanages everything. Maybe that's why they make so much money, they control everything. Bonus plans for sales staff and managers is so poor, and they fix it from year to year to make sure the carrot is difficult to get. Field staff, office staff and directors and clinical managers work so hard and deserve more than they get. Virtually no retirement so there isn't a lot to keep you here as an employee.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour employees are your best asset. You need to have them in the conversation. They have been and will continue to be the key to your success.

    Poor Adminstration - plays favorites

    Account Executive (Former Employee)
    Port Charlotte, FL

ProsGreat support people and clinical staff

ConsArea Administrator is very one sided and prone to "fly off the handle". Very unprofessional at times and plays favorites when it comes to certain employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementRemove distric adminsitrator. Your turnover rate will be reduced.

    Unfair

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Saint Louis, MO

ProsThere is Good flexibility, ability to arrange your own schedule makes it good for busy families.
Fair amount of paperwork that is not too overwhelming.
    Great, caring field staff

ConsThe upper management is very detached with the employees, Not enough communication between staff, field, office, and management. Very disorganized office....makes daily work frustrating, wasting alot of time.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease take time to get to know your employees. Just a few kind gestures go a long way in boosting morale. Get rid of poor managers and hire some that really know how to run an efficient office.

    Be Careful!

    Account Executive (Current Employee)

ProsCompany offers very good services. Clinicians are well-trained. Training at headquarters is good. Good industry to get experience in due to aging population.

ConsNo room for advancement; terrible health benefits; poor management; terrible mileage reimbursement; non-competitive salary; very poor bonus structure. Lack of tools available to Account Executives that are standard in industry-- expense account; decent auto reimbursement, computer reports to track sales. You work very hard for very little reimbursement; bonus is awful!

Advice to Senior ManagementSales reps should report to someone with sales esperience. You will lose more money due to high turn-over of unhappy reps.

    A Roller Coaster

    DPS (Current Employee)
    Cleveland, OH

ProsProcesses and policies are in place to guide you and make your agency successful on a corporate level.

ConsBenefits are expensive, cannot afford to put whole family on plan. Perks are available but delayed regularily and when obtained seem to be accompanied by internal audits so that is no longer the case. Little to no support from mid level regional managers, tools are not provided to grow business as expected at the local level

Advice to Senior ManagementIf turnover rate for DPS's is so high and a focus then look at what support you are giving them at the local level. Do they have the AE/PCL that they need to be able to grow the business?

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Hetic

    Home Health Aid (Former Employee)
    Madisonville, KY

    ProsYou set your own schedule.

ConsThe company will change your schedule and not tell you. If they don't get paper work by the time they decide to close payroll then you do not get paid for the full amount of time you put in on that week but it will be on the next check. The office manager is also very disorganized.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou need to get your stuff together. It is very concerning when people count on their job to pay them for the work that they did that week and be shorted on their check.

ProsGreat coworkers. Rewarding work. Flexible schedule.

ConsNo computers for clinical staff. Paperwork can get to you after a while. High turnover. Poor benefits package. High volatility in patient referrals.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpgrade to computers.

Pretty good, probably won't stay over a few years though

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Proslove their Senior Advocacy mission, good sales training, they will do free care for some patients, the CEO is great and really seems to care about the employees

Consthe benefits and salary aren't competitive with other companies in the area (specifically clinical staff), no retirement plan, they only match a micro amount to your contribution after you've been there a year, they micromanage alot

Advice to Senior ManagementTrust your leaders under you and ease up on the micromanagement, look at combining your sick and vacation and personal time into one bank (some people never call in sick).

    Account Executive

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThis is as close as it gets to employers knocking on your door. If a job ad is being distributed by e-mail, the employer is reaching out. These could be sent to, and come to you through, Career Services, your academic department, advisors, clubs, you name it.

ConsNone, really. It's just a form of information and communication coming to you. Even if a particular job/career fields is not of interest, use it to learn about what is out there.
