Pros
There is always job, all year.
No need: to speak fluent English, no experience required.
Cons
About $ 9 / hr
Advice to Senior Management
A little more pay would be great, wonderful!
Pros
The employees are friendly for the most part.
Cons
**No raises in 3 years for most employees, despite the fact that the company has made profits.
**Don't keep promises to employees.
**Upper management (VPs) show very little concern for employees.
**Vacations are "unofficially" frowned upon.
**Little room for advancement.
Advice to Senior Management
**stop micromanaging
**get some training for your managers so they can at least attempt to manage well.
**Regular raises would go a long way toward helping morale and retention rates.
Pros
mission statement, they do believe in this and pay attention to complaints and try to resolve
friendly co workers
flexibility
Cons
corporate greed
no raises in three years, retention bonus based on nine months salary for one year of work.
won't pay for clinical excellence in manager positions, as a result, sub par line level management compromises quality
Advice to Senior Management
Use the continual 20 percent increase in profits each year to give your workers a raise. Listen to them in regard to clinical issues and praise them more, give them incentive to further their education. Offer tuition reimbursement. Stop being greedy
Pros
They treat their therapists well so it's good for them. They're always hiring so you can get a job. They're very structured and strict if you like that. They do take care of their patients and will do more for those patients than other home care agencies.
Cons
No raises, difficult to get anything accomplished as everything is approved by upper management who micromanages everything. Maybe that's why they make so much money, they control everything. Bonus plans for sales staff and managers is so poor, and they fix it from year to year to make sure the carrot is difficult to get. Field staff, office staff and directors and clinical managers work so hard and deserve more than they get. Virtually no retirement so there isn't a lot to keep you here as an employee.
Advice to Senior Management
Your employees are your best asset. You need to have them in the conversation. They have been and will continue to be the key to your success.
Pros
It is a job that pays the bills, not a company to build a career. Use this job as a stepping stone to a better job.
Cons
Clinical Supervisors are not trained or inexperienced. Management is poor, unresponsive to complaints and issues. Poor communication between staff. No support for staff from management. We are Senior Advocates is just a theme, not really practiced.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on patient care, consistency with patient care, treat all employees the same, respond to complaints, as complaints can easily turn very ugly. Hire experienced employees.
Pros
Training is decent. Office staff are nice people. Good flexibility with your work schedule and not too much breathing down your neck.
Cons
They don't tell you how it really is to work here. You get little paid time off and any time off is frowned upon or you will loose salary for the week. Salary is not competitive, benefits not too good and is there commission or a bonus? NO! They lie. They don't care about you. You will be fired in less than a year so don't work here!
Advice to Senior Management
Nurses should not be management. Get your butts in the filed so you know how it is. You have no idea how to run a good company. You will only keep account reps who are aging and afraid no one else will hire them due to age discrimination. Stop treating everyone like a #.
Pros
Great support people and clinical staff
Cons
Area Administrator is very one sided and prone to "fly off the handle". Very unprofessional at times and plays favorites when it comes to certain employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Remove distric adminsitrator. Your turnover rate will be reduced.
Pros
Medicare Certified Home Helath Provider
Cons
Sales Manager has no sales experience
Helathcare benefits are sub par
There is a 1k limit on Dental Benefits
Advice to Senior Management
Management opportunities are for RN's only
Pros
There is Good flexibility, ability to arrange your own schedule makes it good for busy families.
Fair amount of paperwork that is not too overwhelming.
Great, caring field staff
Cons
The upper management is very detached with the employees, Not enough communication between staff, field, office, and management. Very disorganized office....makes daily work frustrating, wasting alot of time.
Advice to Senior Management
Please take time to get to know your employees. Just a few kind gestures go a long way in boosting morale. Get rid of poor managers and hire some that really know how to run an efficient office.
Pros
love their Senior Advocacy mission, good sales training, they will do free care for some patients, the CEO is great and really seems to care about the employees
Cons
the benefits and salary aren't competitive with other companies in the area (specifically clinical staff), no retirement plan, they only match a micro amount to your contribution after you've been there a year, they micromanage alot
Advice to Senior Management
Trust your leaders under you and ease up on the micromanagement, look at combining your sick and vacation and personal time into one bank (some people never call in sick).
