I have been working at Alpari (UK) full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I only had a short stint at Alpari unfortunately, but have to say it's a great company to work for. Great team culture, lots of transparency between management and staff and they really look after their employees.

    Cons

The company has gone into administration so I guess that's the end of that.

    Pros

Nice people and office environment on the whole, good work life balance, ok benefits including pension, reasonable career opportunity if you're in the right department

    Cons

Lack of USP, favouritism in some areas, bad pay, questionable business practises in certain areas, shareholders not great

I worked at Alpari (UK) full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Most of the staff is young and dynamic. Really multinational community. Friendly atmosphere generally. Perky financial sector which is good for your resume.
Fantastic pension scheme. Bowl of fruit on the kitchen twice daily.
Salaries are great if you are a senior specialist or a Head.

    Cons

Some of the senior management are not experienced enough. Some ignore people management aspect and focus only on getting job done. Probation is mostly 6 months and during it, no sick leave, no seasonal ticket loan (leaves you out of pocket!) and no salary reviews.
Promised salary and job role reviews have never materialised.
Junior personnel often get scorned for minuscule lateness, while senior people come as they choose.
Churn rate is high -- I guess it's for a reason.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on your people. Get them trained, promoted, taught. They will pay back. Do not ignore people management aspect of your personnel, this is not a sweatshop.
