Pros
Work is flexible, option to work from home sometimes, pay on time and most of the time we get off as required.
Cons
Haven't seen raise in 3 yrs, growth opportunity within a company is not good.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide raise and holiday incentives at least to the employees.
Pros
The base salary was average and the benefits were average. The HQ is in a good city, Raleigh. Some of the sales reps are very nice and helpful.
Cons
Management has gone from bad to worse since new owners took over last year. There seems to be no vision and insight into what it takes to become successful as a company. Many people were hired at beginning of years only to be fired four months later due to financial health of company. There is no technical support to speak of besides one or two folks. There is alot of internal politics. There is also alot of "favorite" employees due to their relationship with the new owners. For instance, why have a reduction in force of over half your sales force and keep an outside consultant for sales training purposes when the only few sales reps left are seasoned veterans? This company is very top heavy. They speak a good game but are probably the worse company I have ever worked for. Run like crazy away from this company.
Advice to Senior Management
None - they don't listen anyway.
Pros
Management that is closely focused on customers, lives the vision and supports employees to deliver excellent service
Cons
some of the usual struggles with growth and development
Pros
Allows you to lead a personal life. Travel only within the state of NC. Decent benefits. Great team of engineers to collaborate with. Awesome people to work with in all departments.
Cons
The company makes NO investment in training it's employees or keeping their services team up to date with the latest technologies, yet expects them to be able to sell and implement those technologies.
No raises or promotions, EVER.
Management is clueless about where technology is headed and what products and services should be invested in.
Alphanumeric has been laying off employees in spurts for the past year. A simple indication that the poor leadership is catching up to them.
Advice to Senior Management
spend money to make money. listen to your employees when they tell you what will be the next big thing. You can't make important decisions simply based on newspaper headlines and what you hear from your vendors.
Good Luck Alpha.
