    I worked at Alsco

    Pros

a paycheck... benefits.... pension... that's about it and I was being generous

    Cons

Where do I start, someone dear to me wakes up everyday at 230AM..... leaves the house and does not return home until 8PM....this is AGAINST THE LAW!!! It has been happening for sometime now, and I will report them unless someone in that organization takes a stand. Just because your staff is is hard working does not mean you work them to death..... I will be persistent and vigilant until this changes immediately!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

How about going back to school and becoming education on how to run and develop a prosperous life/work balance..... and stop asking management or other employees to come on here and create false accounts to make the company look positive. the culture is disseminated.

I have been working at Alsco full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is a great sense of community amongst the production employees within this community. Many of them are hard workers that are willing to work all the overtime. The benefits are the best thing I believe.

    Cons

Consistent overtime in the summer which can be nice but also frustrating and exhausting given the work conditions. There isn't much room to advance within this company, there's no where to really advance to if you work with in the plant. The pay is less than desirable and makes it hard to make ends meet at times.

I have been working at Alsco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

There are no pros to working for this company!

    Cons

POORLY RAN! Management has no clue what they are doing! All the way up to the general manager. Vehicles are in desperate need of repair. Constantly breaking down but safety is of no concern to management. Severe favoritism. Good old boys club. Health assurance is a joke. If the customers only knew! Constant blame on drivers for not having product. If the company does not have the product, how are the drivers supposed to deliver it?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate needs to come in and get rid of all managers in a local level.

    Pros

Alot of good people work for ALSCO, but that is really all I can say.
Also car, gas card, phone and laptop. That was a really nice

    Cons

There is no cohesion at any place in this company. Not a long term job, not much room for growth.
    Very IBM

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop wasting so much money on training sales consultants and just letting them go because they have a bad month. Also, the disconnect between Regional Sales Manager and Plant GM made like always hard.

    Pros

    Cons

Lack of training, management irate with all employees, not given the tools to do job correctly/effeciently

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be kind to your employees (don't yell at them for asking questions), keep to your promises (pay and hours)

I worked at Alsco as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Everyone was very friendly and helpful to me, even though I was just an intern. I also gained knowledge of internal auditing and accounting in general, which was interesting work experience. I was also paid well.

    Cons

The work was very monotonous, but that is because I was an intern. I would guess that other positions are less tedious than the work that I did.

I have been working at Alsco full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Working at Alsco you will always know that you will have a job if you hold up your end of the deal, there is always something to do at the laundry. Co-Workers are freindly and working hard will usually get you up the ladder. Managment is fair and you are treated with respect.

    Cons

The pay could be better, and the corporate structure has gotten worse over the last decade, it is no longer a small organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do your best to deal with the centralized control that the corporate office wants to push, don't forget about the little guys.

I worked at Alsco full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Gopd place to start a sales career of you have zero experience. B2B is good to have on your resume.

    Cons

The uniform plant is 100x better than linen in Oak Creek. As sales, they'll offer 30k per annum plus commission, and you must use your own car for door to door!!! So minus that value from your pay. Best advice, start here. Stay a year maybe two. Then go get a real sales job.

    Cons

I really can't think of any cons unless you hate working.
