Pros

You can call in sick a lot, still be praised even without showing up to work apparently. Inherently, those who do show up aren't good enough.

Cons

Too many cons to count or lose sleep over. However, when a professional cares about what they do and puts forth pride in their work and is then included in a collective message that reprimands or defeats morale, it doesn't bode well.

Advice to Senior Management

Learn the industry, listen to your employees. There is a lot of talent and knowledge among your workers. Accept when you are wrong and then challenge yourselves with getting it right by taking into consideration the insight of those who do the job well.

Pros

The employees of Altair are great people and genuinely want to do what is best for the company.

Cons

In the past couple of years the happy, playful, young entrepreneurial company that was Altair is changing. There is new leadership and this company has lost it's attractive atmosphere, therefore losing the loyalty of its employees.

Advice to Senior Management

Keep your "family" abreast of all changes on the horizon.
