Pros
Pleasent place to work, more then correct management, interesting projects
Cons
For last three year, salary increase (except indexation) is only possible thorugh extra work - over already expected 40+ hours per week.
Pros
1. you will work on niche skills.
2. Team members are good and cooperating.
Cons
1. Management in worst.
2. You have to really push them to the extreme to get things done.
3. Compensation is worst wrt to the competitors.
4. No career advancement plan and no training for the employees.
5. Have to keep your manager happy to grow.
6. No clear visibility on what the organization wants to achieve.
7. No employee motivation activities.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep a balance in revenue and employee motivations. Then only this company can grow. Stop playing blame game and try to work as a team towards the growth of the organization.
Pros
- Ok salary
- Flexible timings
- HR team supportive
Cons
-Sr mgmt (Delivery Managers) have no idea of what they are doing.
-Hiring for the sake of hiring and if you do not get billed (they may layoff) especially automotive division
- Ruthless managers without self respect and will not allow you to do any work
- Managers are wasting companies time and resources
- They do not have any internal projects but they boast of having lot of projects in pipeline. (be careful this is trap )so that they can show some bench resources.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire some visionaries who have aim to achieve something useful and retain company's brand value.
Pros
good place for starters, interesting projects, a lot of trainings
Cons
salary, benefits, bonus system, promotion
Advice to Senior Management
focus on the current employees, improve the conditions of work
Pros
Nice people, not very bad pay.
Cons
changing projects fast, and hard to increase payment.
Pros
A lot of autonomy is given to the employees, there is a good work life balance and providing you have a pro-active personality, you can really build your own career path.
Cons
Sometimes, a lack of support from other departments, the global vision is not always clearly translated into local actions
Pros
Famous company that spreads worldwide, wide range of engineering work with good possibilities of changing from one range to another, from one city/country to another. This company offers many opportunities.
Cons
You need to change things yourself. The management (my experience) didn't invest on me, they finally used me, and unless I pushed for change, no effort was made for me to get to a better position. Secondly, I was very disappointed with evolution and salary increases (1% per year max), with no bonuses, nor profit sharing system in 4 years.
Advice to Senior Management
Invest on your engineers ! If you manage them in a way to increase their satisfaction, their responsibilities (if they wish to), their position, their experience, and also their salary, they won't change company. They will talk about the company in good terms, and the best ingeneers in the world will try and join you, and moreover, your clients worldwide will want to work with you instead of other companies. Today's turnover : 30% per year
Pros
-fast career progression in early years
-interesting innovative projects
-implementation-orientation: we offer real solutions, not powerpoint slides
-ideal for engineers with social/people skills and management ambitions
-ideal place to start for university graduates with various internship experiences in industry
-offers trainings and certifications (Project Management, International Management Academy, ...)
-excellent work/life balance
-international atmosphere in their offices - lots of French, German and Spanish
-family-friendly - managers try to fit you with projects closer to home
-many after-work events, summer and winter parties
-quarterly communication meetings with the management and monthly conferences
Cons
-to get into the higher management levels, at least 10 years of seniority necessary
-high implementation focus in the projects leads to long projects, so around 1-2 years/project is often the case. However this means, you don't have to sleep in hotels each week and fly often to other locations. Some consultants have 2-3 month projects, but that also means more stress and being away from home.
Advice to Senior Management
-more diversification in customer portfolio
-recruit more engineers with people/management skills
-use consultants with relevant experience to acquire new projects (more delegation)
Pros
International growth oportunities are provided
Cons
Though economic situation in recent years
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
Good salaries when you come in,
Health care insurance and works council,
A lot of training available,
Good relationships with the HR & Managers.
Cons
Not any opportunities to grow within the company, neither increasing of salary, even if you are doing a good job or remain in the company for few years.
As a consultant, it's hard to feel inside the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Take care of your own employee instead of trying to attract some new ones.
