Pros
Great innovation POTENTIAL
Good grasp of the competitive environment
Excellent business diversification strategy (future direction)
Cons
Top-heavy company with too many mundane management positions
The 'French attitude' and business inefficiencies cause many problems
Career advancement is next to non-existent
ALOT of finger-pointing and dissatisfied customers as a result
Advice to Senior Management
The company needs to be brought in line with the global, capitalistic marketplace around it. The GDS and airline businesses do not revolve around the French calendar or ways of doing business.
Pros
This is a travel company in an international environment so you can expect to work with people from all over the world
Cons
Low salary
No carrier opportunities
There is like a close group of manager with their sycophant who never say hello or only talk to you when they need you
You work not far from the airport (noise and bad area)
Very bad food
No sign from Amadeus to try to improve life of employees ( a lot of people are living the company and other people are complaining a lot)
Advice to Senior Management
improve salary
improve environment instead of reducing our space
take some good practices from other companies !
And please.. at least find us some advantage we work in the travel industry and we have no advantage when we travel !
Pros
- Hard code C++
- Full back end programming
- Unix Systems
- Friendly managers
- Relatively young and knowledgeable team
- Friendly co-workers
- Frequent cakes in the office
- convenient location (2 mins walk from central station)
- Nice views
Cons
- Extremely laid back environment
- Still we are using XP and office 2003
- Sometimes the manger is extremely busy and so difficult to reach even for team members

Pros
Exciting work (making planes fly)
Talented colleagues
Great continuous learning environment
Salary
Location
Cons
Elitism ( Expect slower carrer advancement if you are not from a French top "grande école")
Interest of work depends on the team (some teams are restricted to a tiny functional domain)
Lack of rewards for technical talents
Advice to Senior Management
Hire talented consultants faster.
Improve benefits for top technical talents, not only for managers.
Increase cross teams communication.
Be a great place to work and invest on employee well-being, keep in mind that Google is now a competitor.
Pros
Amadeus is a growing company that is investing in many products on a market that is expanding. Therefore there are a lot of opportunities of having an interesting and rewarding path there.
Cons
Company is moving from mid size to large IT group and goes through organizational changes in various areas. It is needed but it could be a risk that this new organization is not as efficient as the current one.
Pros
Flexitime
Nice people (not management)
I really cant think of enough good stuff to fill the review, there really isn't any.
Cons
Poor office
Bad location
Incredibly Boring Work
Mundane, repetitive weekly maintenance duties
No training at all
Low salary.
Arrogant management - they look at you furious and treat you like you are stupid when you don't know something.
98% of knowledge is held by one person in the team, everyone else had no idea what they are doing.
Honestly is a crap job.
There are no shops or cafes for miles around so the only place to eat is the cafe in the office, which serves terrible bad, bland food.
Advice to Senior Management
Your number one problem is that staff have no training
Your second problem is that staff are bored to tears with the most mundane work imaginable.
Pros
Opportunities for working from home office
Cons
Very expensive health Insurance
Management top heavy
Pros
1. Best place to learn more travel products
2. Exposure to international travel products
3. Equip you as a multi tasker
Cons
1. Low salary, definately below par among the industry
2. Long working hours, including saturdays. Being in travel domain, hardly get vacation
3. HR policies are not implemented in a right perspective
Advice to Senior Management
1. Start paying employees with Industry standard across the region
2. Define & implement clear HR policy
3. Implement five day working policy
Pros
Truly a global company with opportunities to live in a lot of different areas of the world if you have the interest
Cons
Very hard to break into management with French 'Grand Echole' dominating
Advice to Senior Management
A strategic review of the type of people we need to manage - not just development!
Pros
Nice and hard working people
Cons
if you don't like technics that's gonna be hard to grow steps
