I have been working at Amcor as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

It was a best working environment. It was a great experience. Got to learnmore detail on LSMW. Interacted with client was good experience.

    Cons

It takes time to gain the trust of coworkers to get them on board with your ideas. Listen and observe before suggesting changes. Bring solution to the table. Engage your coworkers by knowing what you are talking about.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set clear goal. Think about what your team shouldn't be spending time on.

    Pros

A very clean place as plants go, most non management employees are good people.

Tend to favor family and close friends in regards to advancement.

I worked at Amcor full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

They payed you well and offered over plenty of overtime.

    Cons

12 hour shift only one half hour break for "lunch". And one fifteen minute break. You get that at any 8 hour job. Sometimes got so much mandatory overtime you would be working 70+ hours. Regardless of plans or any family relates events.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

These are not easy jobs, 2 half hours breaks every 5 hours seems awful fare to me.

    I worked at Amcor

    Pros

Nice area and benefits. Pay is good and overtime is readily available

    Cons

No appreciation and annual raises are nonperformance based. In other words bad employees get same raise as those who are awesome

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not encourage employees to NOT seek medical help just so you can prevent a documented injury

I worked at Amcor as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Helped me realize what not to do with your career

    Cons

Probably the worst choice of my career I could've made was to start working at this place. The management team is utterly unable to deal with anything related to the business at hand. Simple daily tasks seem to have a need for a 6 person teams and meetings. I can't think of the last time it was so hard to get through a day of politics. Direct reports did not make sense, I have seen better organization in a circus tent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize how inept some of the team members are.

I worked at Amcor full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The facility was very close to my dentist.

    Cons

Great place to work if you have no desire to do the job you are hired to do. Way too many different ego hungry managers that make the facility top heavy. Senior management excels at putting others down and stealing your ideas for personal gain. Advancement or career development is highly unlikely unless you are a manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do some heavy duty overhaul and start over.
