Pros
company is cash rich, in problems try to win using money power only.
Cons
They have very bad system of ratings, all is match fix, they decide without reading the claim put by employee, they have spy(HRC) every where for higher management and our VP/directors listen to HRC more as compare to Managers. Really a bad company for Managers to work.
Advice to Senior Management
please remove these HRC concepts, these ladies are acting as personal assistants to VP/directors.
while employee evaluation these ladies has more voice as compare to respective managers.
Try to create more transparent system,
Please work towards employee care in true sense,
Pros
You get some benefits, you get to stay in a good vacation place in Cyprus, but on the first major braking of your priciples, start seeking a new job (your skills and thinking and common sense, etc will be broken a thousand times more again and again).
Cons
The worst managers ever, no managerial preparations; intercultural issues (for example working style enforces others to make longer, useless working hours without any real gains to the project), checklist management style (do it in anyway but check it done)
Unproforssional profitors are encouraged in amdocs, expect that in most cases a non-technical manager will take the worst, techincal decisions.
Do not trust anyone, do not expect any trust or profesional respect.
Salary is average and will actually prove insignifiant for the demands you will get (when you realize this you went to far, quit fast).
Advice to Senior Management
Lear to trust, Shut up more, listen more, technical decisions are to be taken solely by technical people, stop the steel factory work style, stop commanding and start sharing.
All managers should have real business school preparations, a software developer hibernating 5 years in a company does not grow managerial skills.
Pros
reliability, good for beginners, Hebrew speaking
Cons
relatively small salary, difficult for self development
Pros
Benefits are some of the best I've seen.
Flexible work hours
Ability to work from home
Opportunity to experience different parts of the company
Cons
Very political - "escalations" at the drop of a hat
Meetings about having meetings about what's going to be on the agenda of the next meeting
Difficult to get your head around the different parts of the organization. Plus, it's constantly changing.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve the PMI process to include newly acquired companies into the Amdocs fold more fully
Set objectives that are complimentary across departments rather than conflicting.
Pros
Wide range of technologies
Chance to work with People from various countries
Very good exposure to telecommunication knowledge
World top telecom providers as clients
Nice breakfast including weekends, Discounted Lunch and Dinner
Different Clubs for various extra curricular activities if interested
Fixed number of Club points every year to spend on events like trekking
Cons
Not a very good compensation when compared with co-workers. Person who joined as a fresher with good grip on the project after one year will be getting less package when compared to a person who joined with 1 year experience very recently
Bad Work life balance
No chance of choosing a project who joined as a fresher
Mostly, Support kind of work
Not many good leaders are there lead the members in the right direction
Advice to Senior Management
Management has to consider the employee's choice of choosing the technology he/ she wanted to work on before placing him/ her into any project
Pros
good env and work culture
Cons
work presssure a nd less pay hikes... needs more dedication ..~ 50 hrs /week atleast
Advice to Senior Management
don't be politicle
Pros
Good benefits package (healthcare, 401K); flexibility to work remotely
Cons
Heavily international culture (Israeli, Indian) can make communication challenging; implementation-focused project workload; compensation peaks once you hit the upper limit of your band; annual bonus structure is heavily weighted to favor top performers and even then you rarely hit your target; lack of incentive to work harder than others; high workload means everyone is stretched very thin (quality can suffer)
Advice to Senior Management
Incentivise your consulting employees for the work they do -- since they are selling the products & services offered by the company on a daily basis, they should receive recognintion/compensation for this. Company-wide communication should be slanted in a positive manner rather than a negative manner. Determine what you want the company to be and brand those divisions accordingly -- there is a lot of cross-pollenation between the development, consulting, and testing organizations, which are all viewed as one by clients.
Pros
- flexibility on working from home when you need to
- excellent benefits for FT employees
- you get to work with people from all over the world, great multicultural enviroment
Cons
- absolutely no work life balance, most of the projects are greatly understaffed so you are asked to put a lot of extra hours
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Nice and Cheap Food.
Free Snacks and fruits in morning and evening
Opportunity to go abroad
Good perk when you are on site work.
Cons
10-12 Hours of working everyday
Very Less Salary Hike
Money is very less compared to work
Will not find even read a news paper in whole day
Advice to Senior Management
Employees are not robots. They have a personal like. Pay attention towards maintaining a good work life balance in the company
Pros
Technology leader
Market leader
Challenging projects
Strong teammates
Cons
Abrasive management style
Strained customer relationships
Grueling travel
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management would benefit by balancing the hard driving results oriented approach with more outreach to employees and appreciation for the hard work that is getting done.
