Pros
Personal development is good, for motivated person it can be good place.
Cons
salary is not fine and it might take some time to get it better.
Advice to Senior Management
There is a good leadership, depends on the person itself and his motivation.
Pros
Lot of Onsite opportunities
Lot of learning curve
Decent salary
Good perks and Benifits
Cons
Not much work life balance
Advice to Senior Management
Provide a better platform for work life balance
Pros
If you need a one time high increment, yes, then you can change your company and join Amdocs. Here too, you will get free snacks and breakfast.
Cons
This is the worst company I ever found in my career.
If there is no work, they simply fire the candidate. There is no bench system.
I joined just 3 months back and now they asked me to leave company as there is no project and look a job outside.
There is also another guy who worked for more than 4 years on Billings and now he is also getting fired. They is no values for the resources in Amdocs.
There is lot of projects now freezed. They hire the guy but don't know where to put and they simply fire them.
My request is don't join this company for money.
Advice to Senior Management
If you don't have project, why do you hire candidates like me?
Don't play with careers of people. You don't care of the people who work in Amdocs.
Pros
Employee care & respect
Benefits as per industry avg.
Leader in its domain
Onsite Opportunity
Culture of collaboration
Works on latest technology
Cons
Work-life balance can be bad at times
Good work limited to on-site teams in most projects
Absence of fast track growth opportunity
Advice to Senior Management
Bring in more technical work in off-shore team
Aim for work life balance
Bring in process for fast track growth which will enable company to retain top performers
Pros
Good benefits package. Oportunities to learn more than your basic job. If you like a fast pased multitasking environment this is the company for you.
Cons
Work load can be hard to manage at time. Many time you will find there isn't much time to think through an aproapriate process to put in place for something. You just do it to get it done and deal with the back lash. You really could work 24/7
Pros
benefits, salary, knowledge, deliver, innovation
Cons
no life balance, offshoring, overhead
Pros
Good facilities, few hierarchies,ok compensation
Cons
too many useless teams, people believing in speaking more than doing, support based mindset
Advice to Senior Management
get rid of so many unnecessary teams, pay people like the old times and reward talent.
Pros
One of not the biggest companies in the billing market
Many opportunities to learn and advance
great people
Cons
24/7 - many periods of the year - according to projects
not paid as well as other companies
Advice to Senior Management
mentor your teams - put some time and effort back to teach and not just to go on with the work
Pros
company is cash rich, in problems try to win using money power only.
Cons
They have very bad system of ratings, all is match fix, they decide without reading the claim put by employee, they have spy(HRC) every where for higher management and our VP/directors listen to HRC more as compare to Managers. Really a bad company for Managers to work.
Advice to Senior Management
please remove these HRC concepts, these ladies are acting as personal assistants to VP/directors.
while employee evaluation these ladies has more voice as compare to respective managers.
Try to create more transparent system,
Please work towards employee care in true sense,
Pros
You get some benefits, you get to stay in a good vacation place in Cyprus, but on the first major braking of your priciples, start seeking a new job (your skills and thinking and common sense, etc will be broken a thousand times more again and again).
Cons
The worst managers ever, no managerial preparations; intercultural issues (for example working style enforces others to make longer, useless working hours without any real gains to the project), checklist management style (do it in anyway but check it done)
Unproforssional profitors are encouraged in amdocs, expect that in most cases a non-technical manager will take the worst, techincal decisions.
Do not trust anyone, do not expect any trust or profesional respect.
Salary is average and will actually prove insignifiant for the demands you will get (when you realize this you went to far, quit fast).
Advice to Senior Management
Lear to trust, Shut up more, listen more, technical decisions are to be taken solely by technical people, stop the steel factory work style, stop commanding and start sharing.
All managers should have real business school preparations, a software developer hibernating 5 years in a company does not grow managerial skills.
