    Pros

Experience working for 20,000 person Israeli company
Exposure to current software technologies and platforms
Expertise in working across multiple time zones/countries for all projects
    Well stocked snack area

    Cons

Zero career advancement unless you're from Israel, job changes are always lateral
Stagnant upper management (lifetime jobs for Israeli staff) means that career advancement opportunities are rare, and usually taken by Israeli employees
Salary adjustments are limited to upper tier employees to "encourage churn"
Below market average compensation rates, salary adjustments rarely match cost of living increases
Jobs are off-shored to lower-cost centers like India and Kuala Lumpur whenever possible
Byzantine internal processes for everything, very difficult to navigate
Arbitrary approvals process centralizes decision-making in Tel Aviv

    Advice to Management

Empower company locations in other countries to develop own processes and procedures
Provide career advancement paths for all employees, not just Israeli natives
Drop the snack bar and coffee/tea service, and pay better wages

    Pros

Leaders in Telecom products, solutions and managed services. Overall good company to work for if you are in Israel or India. Good options to move to other teams internally.

    Cons

Minimal growth opportunities if you are in North America - Always trying to minimize onshore staff and support functions in NA. Company does not believe in the concept of work-life balance. As a standard practice at least 50% of the workforce end up working at least one day of the weekend.

    Pros

Training opportunities are plentiful at Amdocs and as a part of leadership there are multiple ways to compensate employees who step above and beyond,

    Cons

Amdocs is a large company with multiple divisions and I feel as though those divisions are not integrated as well as they could be. Cross training across the divisions would be beneficial in selling services.

    Pros

A lot of opportunities to learn and change positions.
    Decent salary,compensations and benefits.
    leader in its field.
    Culturally diverse.

    Cons

    Some old technologies are used.
Move slow, but it's a big corporate.
HR is lean and not very good, more of the HR functions are delegated to your managers, I had great managers throughout but this is not their strong suite.
a little bit too much bureaucracy, internal politics and inefficient communication.

    Advice to Management

Rebuild the HR organization to take responsibility for it's human resources, this is not the job of a highly skilled manager of another field.

    Pros

If you work there for less than 7 years you get treated great.
Great place to get some experience then leave.

    Cons

If you work there for more than 7 years you start seeing your bonuses and your pay increases start going down.
Each year there is a “silent” layoffs, you never know if you are the own next or not.
There is very little planning and communication from the BU to BU specifically IT.
If you’re in the Americas get ready to be a “just do it” person, they don’t need someone to solve problems.
Management is completely clueless from the top down. They have no idea what it really takes to make the company run, all they care about is their bonus they get quarterly and yearly. So however they can increase their pockets is the better.
The teams run so lean that when there is a problem or someone goes on vacation you are forced into situations to be a firefighter.
If you are a skilled employee with much knowledge that has been there for a while it seems they want you to go.

    Advice to Management

Your loosing all your skilled workers that have all the knowledge. You should try to care about these employees as in the future you will probably need them.

    Pros

Great experience working with other people from around the world. Since they are an international company, they had many employees working at other locations giving the pool of people to ask for assistance greater.

    Cons

Working a customer site during a down-sizing was hard because the job opportunities for me were very slim when our group was slimmed down, unless I was willing to relocate to another state.

    Advice to Management

Do more cross functional training for your employees. It will give them greater opportunities in the future with the company.
