I have been working at AmeriFlex full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Small environment with a great team. This might have been the best place that I have ever worked because of the relaxed fun atmosphere. Great bonus which was easily achieved provided you performed your duties. The management team was very involved and provided great leadership.

    Cons

The only con I would have to mention would be the pay, it wasn't great. The other con was only being allowed 2 days work from home - it could have been more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please review compensation and more work from home days.

    Pros

Cannot think of a single one

    Cons

Lots of meetings, but nothing ever changes. Training and help is beyond poor! Company claims to have high standards and values, but this is far from the truth. Bad behavior, gossiping, and alienation is tolerated. The 'team' mentality is a total joke here!!! Worst job I've ever had!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This office needs to have a Human Resources Manager working in this office (not in TX), due to the number of co-worker related problems. The HR department is very well aware of years of ongoing problems with several employees in particular, yet bad behavior continues to be tolerated. There are a handful of people who should be fired, yet - just get a slap on the wrist and a 'warning'. William Short needs to grow some and fix some real problems!

    Pros

Great CEO and CFO, if sleeping or listening to snoring is your thing then this is your dream company.

    Cons

Mediocracy and bad performance is rewarded while high skillset and high performance is being punished. Company is trying to become a software service provider but lack IT, infrastructure or talent to do so.

    A small, fun development team.

I worked at AmeriFlex full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The development team culture is very relaxed and fun to go into everyday. The team has to support more applications than there are developers, so each individual "owns" a handful of applications and they become the expert and goto man for anything that happens or will happen to that software. You will have the freedom to make application-level design decisions and the guidance to get a consensus on the best way to implement those decisions. Often you set your own deadlines. The state of technology is rapidly changing and evolving.

    Cons

Lots of working with legacy code in languages you've likely never used. What you should be spending your time on can at times differ from what management feels is important.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more strict on adherence to development guidelines. Pay more attention to incoming ticket submissions to ensure nothing YOU think is important is going unnoticed.
