    Pros

Amerilife provides the tools. Listen, learn, and work. The leads, bonuses and rewards are overflowing. The work environment is positively upbeat.

    Cons

Long hours, long days at the start.

    Advice to Management

My only thoughts here go back to training new agents. Just because you get it does not mean you can teach it.

    Pros

They have the best training and support in the industry.

    Cons

You won't succeed if you try this part time it requires an individuals full participation to learn all the products and attend all the training classes.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing the same, they are improving monthly with new technology and products. The perks are amazing, like the trips and car give away. A guy in our office just won the BMW at our xmas party.

    Pros

You can make a huge amount of money if you work hard. They treat you will and seem to care about your success. After you get on your feet you have freedom to work how you want to work. Tons of contests and trips.

    Cons

Takes a lot of time and work to become successful. First couple months are tough to learn everything and can be discouraging.

    Advice to Management

More satellite offices for people who have a long drive. More commission for applications done online and for those who do a good job of servicing their clients.

    Pros

The pros are that you can make as much as you want as long as you are willing to work. You are provided leads and finally the company has stepped up to the new age and provided web sites for supplies and also you get an iPad to submit apps and get leads. Everything has changed so much since I started for the better I think!

    Cons

A lot of driving since it is an outside sales position. Management tends to keep agents out of the loop of corporate stuff but who cares, just go sale and make money. This isn't really a con, but you actually have to work to make a living.

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking for yourselves and ask your agents what they need to be successful. Just a thought but the ones actually working in the field may know a bit more of how to do this job than someone who has never done it before.

    Pros

LIked the insurance business helping people and seeing the benefit of insurance for all, to include health and life programs.I learned a great deal about the financial and insurance sector.

    Cons

was told to go door to door to sell Medicare programs; when I was certified by the government and it was stressed as being an illegal act. When I questioned managers about it they replied "Do not worry, just do it". When interviewed, I was told I would be advanced commissions based upon sales of the week. Then, corporate advised that all health sales would not be advanced, thus I feel that I was intentionally deceived.Management seems to be making most of the money. They made me go to a large holiday gathering at my expense, and was told that I would see the large producers, none came from my office, but from only one office. When I asked how that office did so well, I was told they knock on doors...I find that hard to believe!

    Advice to Management

Management needs to learn how to manage Independent contracted employees, and restructure the manner that they do business. If the company is for sale as the rumours say, big changes need to be done

    Cons

Anything this good requires consistent hard work and determination. This business is simply but not easy if your not self motivated and if you let excuses get in your way then skip Amerilife.
