Pros
Good benefits package, partly through Quest Diagnostics (parent company since 2007)
Some decent managers
Some friendly co-workers
Cons
Co-workers who are lazy and incompetent aren't fired
Management doesn't back up employees enough
Favoritism is rampant
Advice to Senior Management
Walk the talk. If you have a particular policy in place, enforce it. Don't selectively enforce it. Pay attention when employees tell you that they're overburdened because someone else doesn't feel like working. Internet abuse is rampant here.
Pros
Flexible Schedule.
Good Pay.
Decent people and technology.
Cons
Benefits could be better.
Facilities could be better.
Pros
We had a great team and worked well together. Benefits were okay
Cons
Management and assistance from HR was lacking. Communication from Upper levels needs work.
Advice to Senior Management
Changes to Quest were very tough and time was not given to learn new systems. You lost a lot of good people with the changes being made
Pros
It was a great place to work because of the great people that work there and also great upper management.
Cons
I would have to say that training is not what i believe it should be. It was pretty much sink or swim and i was sinking alot of the time
Advice to Senior Management
i feel that management needs to be more cognizant of the fact that not every employee is the same and that favoritism does not belong in corporate America
Pros
Good Benefits, Fair Pay,Good Stock Plan 401k
Cons
Management is timid to address employee problems,Half of employees do all the work, the other half plays right in front of management. Management refuses to confront issues, directs people to do things that clearly will not reflect profit. Overall poor training, management, lots of ego among management
Advice to Senior Management
Rely on people with knowledge, listen and always resolve employee issues instead of sweeping them under the rug
Pros
there are many opportunitys given to employees with the correct credentials to move up
Cons
in my experience the managers did not treat employees equality, preference given to their own kind. need fairer managers
Advice to Senior Management
train managers on equality in workplace
Pros
Decent benefit package and compensation.
Cons
The work environment was completely toxic at the time I was there.
Pros
Latest technology, laid back environment, nice co-workers for the most part
Cons
No cubicles in some buildings, temperatures not managed & general facilities need upgrades, not much diversity in hiring. There are very few white, Hispanic, or black IT workers there. Most hired on perm seem to be Indian and not sure why...If more qualified, then that's fine. If not, then someone needs to look into it....
Advice to Senior Management
Take more advantage of individual skill sets & take time to listen. You may not need to hire more people. Choose quality over quantity in employees.
Pros
good benefits/med dental vision. employers' share of cost is above industry ave.
Cons
lack of recognition, advancement opps
Advice to Senior Management
be more responsive
Pros
The company offers a good benefits package, decent wages, and the staff is overall easy to get along with. My current manager is very personable and reasonable.
Cons
Raises are a joke. My cumulative raises over 2 years are less than a 90 day raise at most fast food joints, not only in percentage but in actual value.
Advice to Senior Management
None.
