    Pros

Clinical staff really care about the clients in treatment. Pay is competitive. It's always a pro when you have a chance to help someone save their life

    Cons

The company is definitely a for-profit and the things they allow just to keep a client in treatment to get the money is sad and infuriating. Drugs are known to regularly come through the facility and rules are broken all the time with no real consequences. The clients know this and it makes it very hard on the team to enforce structure and keep the clients who really want sobriety safe

    Advice to Management

Don't let clients consistently break rules and use and endanger other clients there. Or if they are causing such a disturbance and leading others astray by their badmouthing the treatment center because they want to leave, let them leave. They are not ready yet. Trust me, you will fill their bed and not lose money.

    Pros

Competitive Salary and bonuses when they were given
    Loved helping clients

    Cons

This company only cares about the almighty dollar, not the overall well being of the clients.
Too many managers and people trying to be in charge!
One of the consultants was having drugs delivered to AAC, and continuing to use drugs, while at the same time trying to persuade clients to come to rehab.
All upper management were very arrogant, hypocritical and contradict themselves.

    Pros

Big name recognition, lot's of money put into branding.

    Cons

Too many layers of management. Not enough opportunity to move up.

    Advice to Management

Some of the managers pick people because they are buddies and not qualified for positions based on merit or handwork.

    Pros

Good work/life balance, plenty of opportunity for advancement, good compensation compared to competitors, potential to relocate to another location if desired.

    Cons

Fairly high-turnover rates for management, often required to work weekends/holidays.

    Advice to Management

Consider motivating incentives for good performance, clearly communicate company vision and get rid of people who work against it.

    Pros

The office culture is very relaxed and the people are very friendly. Everyone who I have come in contact with from entry level to upper management have all been very helpful and very accessible to answer any questions that come up. A rewarding job to know that at the end of the day your efforts are helping individuals get in to treatment and change their lives by beating their addiction to drugs and alcohol. The benefits are good and there seems to be plenty of opportunity for growth.

    Cons

I have only been with the company for a few months so far, but I can honestly say that I have absolutely no complaints so far.

    Advice to Management

In my experience so far management does a good job of keeping the employees informed of things that are happening within the company and about the future growth of the company.

    Pros

This is a great company to work for. People genuinely care about what they do. Company is on the leading edge as far as treatment services. It is exciting and innovative.

    Cons

Company is growing at a fast pace, this can be great, and also cause some growing pains that can be worked through.

    Advice to Management

Fantastic group of employees here, continue listening to them and hearing their feedback and ideas.

Company relocated to TN. Leaving behind many loyal employees.

    Pros

My boss is laid back and understanding. The benefits are great. Plenty of PTO. The upper management is very accesible. It feels like one big team. You really start to value the work you are doing because we are saving lives.

    Cons

Because of such growth the office is beginning to feel a little cramped. But that is good thing to have happen.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep your ear to the ground. Stay in touch with all components of your team. Continue with positive reinforcement.

    Pros

I've been with AAC for about a year and a half now. The people are great, the outlook is awesome and you can't help but feel good about what you are doing there!

    Cons

Really not much in the area of cons. The yearly pay increase could be a little better, but I don't think its a strike against the company, they are growing fast and I believe all will be rewarded for their efforts.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. We are growing and doing what is intended for people!
