    Pros

Good discount Easy to get promoted Exposure to other aspects of Retail Cool bonuses Free Clothing Creative sales and events to participate in. Open-minded political aspect Social Media Friendly

    Cons

Low wages Benefits are mediocre IF working full time Ran by very young people who don't take the job so seriously. Miscommunication amongst management.

    Advice to Management

I really like the new direction that you guys are heading in with this company. Corporate just needs to do a thorough audit on middle management to make sure they do their jobs and don't get too comfortable.

If you're bored and need a hobby work in retail.

    Cons

You will get little payment. Rude boss and will be yelled at for every little thing. Never tell you you're doing a good job.

    Pros

it's a creative and flexible environment. You can really mold the position to focus on what you are most interested in.

    Cons

There is very little structure and often all aspects of store operations will fall on the merchandisers so they end up with too much work load

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, we have really great insight and opinions! We often feel like we aren't being used to our fullest potential which really lowers incentive.

    Pros

50% discount on all merchandise. That's about it.

    Cons

Management is very childish and qliquey.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who are actually qualified instead of moving up your friends.

    Pros

sick discount, if you're OCD (like me) about organization it's a fun retail floor to take care of b/c of all the colors lol

    Cons

I was told I was hired as a Visual Merchandising trainee but was let go after the Holiday season. May have been b/c company was in trouble (right around time they were almost kicked off NYSE) but felt like a bait and switch to get a seasonal employee that wasn't lazy

    Advice to Management

How can you give advice to the management of a company when it's a different crop of aging hipsters every week? Watch your back! The minute you turn 25 (f) 35(m) you're getting kicked out!

    Pros

DTLA location Flexible hours Nice people New management motivates long time employees to search for other jobs If you are a contractor or have connections with new management, your pay will most likely be decent. If you are enthusiastic, you can learn many new skills that aren't technically related to your given job - that's because there has been no structure in this place for so long.

    Cons

No performance reviews and no raises seemingly unless you threaten to quit or show them an outside offer. Unstable turnaround culture - the company is always in the red and it is constantly uphill. It seems like the turnaround crew has a mandate over long term loyal employees - very short sighted. The company is under fire from lawsuits and protesters in the parking lot - it's stressful to witness and deal with every day.

    Advice to Management

Congrats on the corporate coup, but

    Pros

My coworkers were nice, and they all liked to party and wear cute clothes. I worked in the back, so I was able to work alone, which is important to me. Lots of clothes to organize and shipment to receive.

    Cons

It felt insurmountable at times, there weren't half as many employees helping out back as there were salespeople hanging around in the front.

    Advice to Management

Redirect the store to operate more efficiently; if there's more to do in the back than in the front, make it happen!

    Pros

Schedule flexibility Bonus oppurtunities Sweatshop free

    Cons

Hourly pay. If you become salary it is expected to over work yourself.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your hard working employees rather than the ones you party with.
