Pros
The atmosphere is very relaxed. As long as you get the work done, they don't care how/when you do it.
Cons
There are almost zero possibilities for career advancement. Unless someone above you dies, you can expect to stay in your position.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees instead of turning away from very real problems.
Pros
Jeffboat is an outdoor sport. The management team has bright spots in its leadership. The work is exciting and provides a hands-on experience.
Cons
There is a lot of turnover in welders and classifications that support the shipbuilding. The future is always in question. Job security is a real issue.
Advice to Senior Management
Reduce the team at Jeffboat to allow the workers to have a sense of job security. It is tough working there in the elements and even more difficult if you have to worry everday about your job security
