    Pros

My co-workers were great. Our shift had an excellent work ethic, integrity and the knowledge to get our jobs done efficiently. we took pride in a job well done. The pay is good. The time off monthly was great.

    Cons

MAnagement doesn't care about people. Safety hazards everywhere that they prefer to hide rather than acknowledge. Supervisors are encouraged to use harrassment, degradation and scare tactics. You are not a human being there. Must have thick skin and a tolerance for ignorance to work there. Worst benefits/health insurance CEO wrote the book on lip service. Made big promises he never intended to keep.

    Advice to Management

Treat people like human beings. Weed out your liabilities starting with supervisors who still dont have a clue what they are doing. Fire those you find sleeping on the job over and over again. Listen to your people! too much lip service and No action.

  3. Great supervisor and coworkers. All depends on what shift you get on

    Pros

Good pay. Every 14 days of working you get 7 straight days off. Good people to work with

    Cons

Shift work can be tough. Night shifts we tend to just survive. Being outside during the winter is a downfall.

    Pros

Good wages and benefits. The health, dental and life insurance are at or above industry average.

    Cons

It is a large company who main concern is the bottom line not their employees They have some front line supervisors who are less that marginal at their job..

    Advice to Management

Hold your front line supervisors accountable and clean house on the dead weight.

    Pros

Get on the right shift and you have the opportunity to move quickly

    Cons

    Pros

The personnel within the company are easy to work with and supportive when working within an assignment not yet trained for. With a rotating 12 hour shift I like the fact that there is one complete week off, this is only during the production cycle. Production is approx. 9 months, and these months included the cold winters in MN.. The other 3 months plant will shut down for upgrades and repairs, There are options with those 3 months... I enjoy the time I was there....

    Cons

The cold winters!! Those that think they freeze easy, move south.. Not uncommon to work -40*, and depending on the assignment working thru the winter isn't hardly what you might think.. Being a processing plant, strikes and picket lines happen and are a major pain.. Besides... beyond that...would have liked to stayed

    Advice to Management

Some of the equipment could stand to be updated, and at times little more instructions on equipment not ready to take control of..

    Pros

Benefits are very good. Some jobs are really easy.

    Cons

It smells terrible everywhere. It's an old factory with many things breaking down. Their is a real risk of serious injury. Schedule is a rotating days/nights.

    Advice to Management

Reinvest in your infrastructure. It has been neglected for decades.

    Pros

Was a strong company with a good corporate and worker relationship. Had good pay and benefits.

    Cons

After a record profit year the company locked out its Union employees after the union refuse to sign a new contract that stripped the union of its rights, and raised the employees health care cost to the point that the average employee was getting a pay cut. The company is now not profitable, but the CEO refuses to admit he had a mistake and negotiate with the Union.

    Advice to Management

If the current management had done a better job of enforcing the work place rules that were all ready in place, they won't have felt the need to break the Union. Admit you were wrong to lock out the Union and negotiate a fair contract, before it is too late for the company to recover.

  11. Called names by CEO (tumors) after working there for 33 years and now locked out after years of outstanding growth.

    Pros

A good pay and benifits as long as the contract stays in place.

    Cons

Only people getting hurt are Farmers and Locked out Workers.

    Advice to Management

END THE LOCKOUT. What you are doing to the community and workers is just not what we do in North Dakota and Minnesota.
