    Pros

Great for college students or recent grads, hands on experience, learn tons of new things everyday, great discount, management is great to work with, great casual and chill environment!

    Cons

The only think is the people that work seem to complain frequently about everything such as management, hours, ect. Not really sure why and it gets very tiring to hear all of the drama.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people who actually want to work there and actually love the company they work for

    Pros

Learn a lot quickly and given plenty of responsibility early on. Good work-life balance and office culture.

    Cons

Leadership is awful... There really is no direction and no one can make a sound decision. People like playing the blame game.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be better leaders and have a clear direction. Stop changing your mind constantly.

I have been working at American Eagle Outfitters full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Casual work environment and can be a really fun place to work, exciting and fast-paced, benefits, training (if you have a good team), opportunity for movement within the company between departments/functions. The Direct (online) team and division leadership are wonderful and create a really fun working environment.

    Cons

Extremely competitive internally which adds stress to an already stressful job. Your experience can greatly rely on what team you are placed with. It is definitely not a 9-5 position so if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere. Disconnect between leadership and the actual company - strategies and a growth plan is not clearly established nor executed.

    Pros

I like to working at a fast pace working environment which American Eagle Outfitter is,. I like conversing with the employees at American Eagle Outfitters to complete their objective and help train the co-worker in the Warrendale mail room so they can do their work better. Working on the computers to updating information since their is only 2 people currently employed at the Warrendale facility and also I like doing the international and domestic FedEx work.

    Cons

There is no challenges at American Eagle Outfitters

    Pros

    Good employee discount

Young, cool coworkers - focused on fashion.

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick a few things & do them well. Prioritize. Focus on the customer & the product - start there. The rest is just noise.

    Pros

    Eye Candy and Employee Discount

    Cons

Volatile management. I was declined a promotion, then asked to train the new hire for the position! Unbelievable. The annual review process feels a little impersonal, more like a verbatim form letter and less of a personal review for strengths, accomplishments and weaknesses. For as inclusive and diverse as they claim to be, there's a lot of corporate red tape that limits which departments are included in corporate events. For example, my department was forced to work events like a company baseball game.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a temp service to cater to your corporate events.
