    I would recommend

Merchandise Planner (Current Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsFun atmosphere. Good pay relative to cost of living.

ConsWork can be extremely stressful at times and employees tend to be over worked.

Advice to Senior ManagementToo much micro management. Leadership team doesn't understand the work load implications of some of the last minute decisions that they make.

    Great Culture, Great People

Merchandise Planner (Current Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsMotivated, energetic, young professionals are the norm here. Great culture to work in. Compensation is good as well, especially in a low cost city like Pittsburgh

ConsNot as much transparency from Executives when it comes to a long-term strategy perspective. Sometimes the promotion situation can become very political.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Suppose to be a youthful, energetic, growing company instead it's another company clinging onto it's past success.

    Finance (Current Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsGreat discounts on clothes for employees.

ConsLeadership has no clear vision on how to right the ship and refuses to listen to suggestions.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Too big to fail, too big to succeed

    Merchandising (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsThe work environment is not generally horrible
    Making friends and business connections
    Summer Fridays, random perks, 401K

ConsComplete lack of communication and direction among teams
The design and production office is in Manhattan. The merchandising office is not. That's where the private jet comes in.
Time wasting and environment ruining reports and files that receive zero attention
Those who work hard do just that. Those who join the old boys club move up to do less.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf they haven't figured it out by now..

    Toxic Culture

Store Training Coordinator (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsIf you're looking for a young and casual corporate environment where you can gain some experience, this is your place.

ConsThe toxic culture, lack of work-life balance, nepotism, favoritism, and poor leadership seems to outweigh any good qualities of working here. Because it's hard to advance in certain departments, its normal for individuals to throw each other under the bus in an effort to look better in front of management. It's not uncommon for individuals to be put on Performance Improvement Plans. A lot of people who do great work go unnoticed while the typical repeat offenders with lack of leadership and contribution are protected and even promoted. Entry-level positions work 70+ hours per week while team leaders are out the door every day at 4:30pm.

Advice to Senior ManagementFire the people who don't do anything and reward the people who do.

Petty people ; out-of-control, wasteful spending

Planning and Allocation - HQ (Former Employee) Pittsburgh, PA

ProsThere are some nice perks - tickets to events..half-day Fridays May to Sept is by far the best perk of them all. Some of the people you work with are professional, friendly.

ConsPetty, high school environment is tiresome - drama, gossip, back-stabbing is the way most do business there. It is a pervasive problem. Boot-kissers get ahead - hard workers get squashed. HR Department is useless and yes men. The biggest issues stem from the totally wasteful spending that is done there and lack of ethics. Hiring an endless number of Directors and VPs that are not needed, senior executive books corporate jet so they and their dog can fly to NY for the day, etc. One of the biggest follies was opening a multimillion dollar "tech office" in San Francisco. The contractors that work there demand 3 times the wage and expense than housing said contractors in Pittsburgh office.

    Advice to Senior ManagementClean house - Sr level Executives that have been there for decades need to retire and stay retired;
Lead by example - take a coach flight once in a while, get serious on cost control...do you need 50 contractors to implement a new Planning system that when I left was still not implemented after a year?!?
Grow-up - Stop the drama and gossiping by showing you are above that and it will not be tolerated on your teams.
