Advice to Senior Management
I do not have any advice to give or feedback regarding the leadership at American Eagle Outfitters at this time.
Pros
- 40% off staff discounts on regular priced items & 25% on clearance
- Easy and not a stressful job
- Great clothes
Cons
- Low workplace morale - everyone seems to be over the place
- Boring & repetitive
- Short shifts (but do not think I can do anything longer than 4 hours)
- Store manager being unapproachable and not a friendly person - bad impression for a new comer to the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Store manager needs to be more friendly and approachable. The workplace should be a fun and enjoyable place to be otherwise everyone will feel tense and unhappy working there. There needs to be a focus on the development of the team. Company seems to involved with the $$$ rather than the people who are working for the company. Without us there wouldn't be any revenue made!
Pros
Sale Associate workers are able to choose the hours that they would like to work in throughout a week, and book days off in advanced. Other employees are very friendly and cooperative as well.
Cons
Opportunities are limited; usually, a sales associate has to do more then expected. Must be able to work an hour or two after store closes for replenishing.
Advice to Senior Management
Advice to Management: Be more flexible; management can be a hassle at times as they are always interested in obtaining the best out of their employees 100% of the time.
Pros
They have awesome discounts and a friendly work environment. The managers are really nice and lenient. Also it's pretty flexible with your schedule so if you're a student you can work on weekends or afterschool. Also it pays to be working in the holiday season so you can buy all your presents and save a bunch.
Cons
They tempt you with their awesome discounts. It also gets a bit boring when it's slow or if you have to fold the underwear / thongs. <ugh.. > Sometimes it feels like it's cleaning one giant room at closing. But at least there's no moldy pizza under the bed right?
