I worked at American Flyers full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good people, 141 school consistency

    Cons

Low pay, older airplanes, no multi-engine opportunities

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
  2.

The company is run by "old-school" (70+ year-olds) with an old fleet and old methods.

I have been working at American Flyers full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

If you are in TX, CA, or FL you will fly a lot. Those schools have lots of career students and good year-round weather.

    Cons

You will be micro-managed. No opportunity for advancement. Lots of family members in management positions. Morale is low. Old equipment. Senior managers brag about 40+ years with the company (mid-managers 20+ years) preventing innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Update website, teaching aids, sims, and aircraft.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I have been working at American Flyers part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good flight instruction, good instructors

    Cons

Micromanagement from the top, poor management of opportunities to expand the company and poor management of employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A company that could improve their market share through new aircraft, multiengine trianing

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
