Mandatory unpaid office hours
Mandatory unpaid weekend work
Commission is not what was told in interview] (loopholes)
Residual income is not what its cracked up to be-people cancel-losing battle
Promises to be millionaire in short period of time with hard work and dedication- Why is turnover rate so high? 50 people in couple a months!?
Majority of everything they say in interview is a lie! Was promised iPad and iPhone, never received.
Office environment is very loud, swearing, unproductive!

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for less than a year
Pros – Team environment, compensation, promotion capabilities/frequency, entrepreneurial atmosphere, positive and healthy competition, the support system in the Pappas Agency, culture, agency growth rate, future outlook. The list goes on and on..
Cons – There are no true down sides. You will work long hours but that is only because you need to put the time into the job in order to become successful
Advice to Senior Management – Keep it up.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for less than a year
Pros – There is a lot of money to be made if the clients that cannot afford your policies do not cancel
Cons – Training is done by someone who has been with the company less than 3 months
It is truly a pyramid scheme, all of your managers make money if you do
Put over 7k miles on my car a month
Paying $125 a week for phone room appointments that think we are just coming to have them sign some papers
Advice to Senior Management – Don't tell your current employees to post positive reviews on this website. Prospective employees should learn from current employees that the rosy picture that is painted in the hiring process is not entirely correct.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – One of the main reasons why I came aboard was the opportunity, the opportunity unlimited that they talk about. It was the ability to get into a Top Level Management position within 6 to 8 months and then really impact families and people that work underneath me, but most of all providing a great opportunity for myself and my family.
Right now is the best time to come aboard with this amazing company. Public Relations doing what they need to do, the bonuses and the income potential, I can't think of a better place right now than being with National Income Life Insurance in New York and of course with The Pappas Agency!
We are doing more promotions than ever before, we ended up 2011 with over 90% in growth. You can earn lifetime renewals which allows you to retire in 10 years and live on that renewal income for the rest of your life.
I am having a great ride and I'm looking for another 10 to 15 years with this company. This opportunity is Opportunity Unlimited.
Cons – We need self motivated individuals that WANT to accomplish big things in life.
Advice to Senior Management – Always offer advice to anyone who plans to join the NILICO family: “Go for it and hold on for the ride. Nothing worthwhile in life is easy, but a career with AIL/NILICO is not only financially rewarding but personally rewarding as well.” As of 2012, his Agency was one of the top 10 Agencies in the Company in growth. But who knows what the future has in store.

I worked at American Income Life as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – You have the opportunity for a management position very early on in your career. As such, it doesn't take much talent to become a manager--just regular sales.
Cons – -You work 6 days a week. This is reasonable as an Agent as it is 6-8 hours a day, sometimes less sometimes more. This is not reasonable as a Supervising agent because it becomes 10-12 hours for 4 of the days and 6 hours for the other 2.
-No one cares about your personal life. My manager boasted about how he missed his 5 year old's birthday in order to help someone make some sales. My coworker was berated when he missed work for two weeks because his wife gave birth to a 26 week old preemie and almost died.
-Weekly sales goals. You need to hit their goals, while possible some of the time, is difficult all of the time. The managers paycheck depends on your sales. It is truly a pyramid scheme. They will push you for every little sale and belittle you when you do not get them.
Advice to Senior Management – Calm down. Breathe a little. Spend some time with your family.

I worked at American Income Life full-time for less than a year
Pros – Get to work by yourself for most of the time. That is the only good thing about working for this company.
Cons – Training is very short and unpaid. You will be told that you will get a gas alowence but not told that you have to make bonus every week to get it. I was told I would get health insurance after 90 days but my mga left out ther part about haveing to reach 17000 in anual premiums in a quarter. Leads are terible they tell you that you need to book ten appointments a day hard to do when the leads are so bad. They tell you they will help you if you are strugleing, don't count on it!They Lie!
Advice to Senior Management – Pay more attention to those who are stugleing to make it. Don't spend all your time on one person to make sure he get his promotion.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good training on basic sales skills
Cons – Scripted recruitment, never mention anything about sales and they will hire anyone that isn't a felon. And that's up for argument.
Leads are garbage
Leads are recycled and clients are lied to as to why you are out at there house
Management has no idea what they're doing, very conflicted information.
70+ hours and a ridiculous amount of driving
Advice to Senior Management – Stop lying to your employees, maybe a gas card

I worked at American Income Life full-time for more than a year
Pros – - Good commission structure, you won't make much at first but it snowballs continously the longer you stay
- Valuable sales experience, a great skill to have in this economy
- Good exercise in time management
Cons – - Start up costs - paying for your own incredibly flawed training (Green Light), as well as your license.
- Have to work double overtime (80+ hours) a week, with at least 20 of it being literally locked in the office to make calls while your supervisor does nothing but berate you... as well as attend cult-like meetings... you'll feel weird.
- Have to use your own vehicle (with a lot of driving to boot) and your own laptop to sell. Don't have them? Can't afford them? Too bad. Next contender.
- Immature management staff who indulge in bigotry, racist, and sexist comments to the already stressed agents and ESPECIALLY to those who can't sell. This WILL come back to bite them in the you-know-where, but they still think they can get away with it. And that's reflective of their corporate values.
- Wife? Husband? Kids? Other responsibilites? Kiss them goodbye. The unofficial motto of AIL is "Sacrifice", not "Serving" as they claim.
- Promotions are more political rather than meritorial. I'm not just talking sales numbers; those who get juiced in with the general agents - get ahead. And if you're related to one of them... faster ascent.
Advice to Senior Management – It's very obvious that you guys are fluffing up the reviews on this site. And I get it, positive recruiting means more money for you. But how about you take some time to treat your people right, revisit how you rear your agents, and maybe give some personal life back to your employees. They deserve it.
