    Pros

Doing good work; generally positive community acceptance; advancement/job change opportunities are plentiful (though due to turnover); like minded colleagues; relative freedom and independence.

    Cons

Horrible morale; constantly changing corporate message; bureaucratic quagmire; top down leadership when the top is either uniformed or ill informed; internal financial reporting is too little too late; departments are working against each other...

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the bureaucratic culture that keeps real cultural change from happening. Find a way to focus on the end user (disaster victim or hospital patient) and not the government regulatory body or the media.

    Pros

ARC Nurse Assistant Training Program is the best I have ever seen and I was proud to be part of it. All my students in a timeframe of almost 4 years graduated and passed their state board exam to become certified.

    Cons

Worst management I have ever worked for in 40 years of nursing. Upper management either were fired or resigned after six months of employment. It effected me and my team as were w always under different management.

    Advice to Management

None. I said it all in my exit interview

    Pros

This is one of the most recognized brands in the world

    Cons

Very disconnected. Very disgruntled long term employees that really need to leave. This particular ARC was supported by the union-not necessary for a non-profit organization, thus resulted in absolutely worthless work ethic. Very sad.

    Advice to Management

Company needs to formulate proper connectivity. The organization was formed to help and save, hopefully they can look within and mend themselves to be the great non profit that was formulated to only give by saving lives and helping with disasters.

    Pros

Decent pay with overtime. Not a lot of pros to mention. I'm sorry at this time I can't think of any pros.

    Cons

Doesn't care about their staff. No incentives. Favoritism. Stress among staff is horrible. Worked there more than 10 years and has gotten horribly worse. Lousy health and dental insurance.

    Advice to Management

Start caring about your employees. Show them you value their hard work. Talk to staff to see what they need to make a mobile run well. Stop skimping on staffing a mobile. Show your donors you appreciate them and the time they take out of their day to donate. Don't make them wait 2 or 3 hours to donate bc you won't schedule enough staff. Give incentives to staff. All around you need to run your company better-at least the region I worked for. Give your employees better health and dental insurance. For being a humanitarian organization you are not compassionate or caring toward your employees or donors.

    Pros

Great mission - love to help people. Many very nice employees. and you come into contact with lots of nice customers.

    Cons

Non-profit with a poor public profile and serious organizational issues. They've nationalized the process, created territories too big to be managed effectively, and cut paid staff to the bone.

    Advice to Management

Hiring true believers is great - they believe in the mission and they work cheap. Unfortunately, they are often less qualified than people who would love to work for you if you paid a decent wage. Very nice staff.

    Pros

The work that we do saves lives. There are a lot of great people here that work hard to ensure the blood supply stays safe

    Cons

The industry is failing. Despite having a free product to work with the company still manages to hemorrhage violently.

    Advice to Management

Lose some of yourselves. This organization is so top heavy it makes my head spin. Give us better benefits
