    Pros

Fun and effective sales team with good compensation

    Cons

Corporate office needs to rethink their marketing. Went from Ashley furniture competitor to Rooms To Go Outlet. Furniture and valve is top rate and at a good value. Sadly this is not represented I their the marketing materials.

    Advice to Management

Say thank you more and give recognition to top performers.

    Pros

    Can't think of any pros

    Cons

Competitors are passing us by why we figure out "who we are"
Upper management could care less about us
    No values
At least 4 maybe 5 layoffs in corporate office in the last 4 years
We switch direction or change our focus every few months
I could go on and on

    Advice to Management

Get out in the field and listen to the customer and your people.
Get rid of the dead weight change in the corporate office that resist change
Stop talking about values - show us you have them. Lead by example
People in corporate office should work to support people in the field versus being nasty and non-supportive

    Pros

Good atmosphere , good people, decent hours

    Cons

Pay could be better for what we're asked to do.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Great product at competitive prices. Good starting salaries and medical benefits. 3 weeks vacation after 5 years of service.

    Cons

No training program of any kind for any position. No merit increases for the past 3 years. They eliminated the 401k company matching program. No bonus or commission structure for sales managers yet held to quotas and minimums. Inconsistent policies and procedures from store to store.

    Advice to Management

They call it Human Resources for a reason. Your people make it happen everyday seven days a week.

    Pros

You work closely with manager, director and even the executive level with a great work life balance. The office culture is very bright and warm, greatly stressing the importance of a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

    Cons

There is no bonus structure below the director level with minimal inflation pay increases. The company vision continually is changing making it hard to follow company leadership.

    Advice to Management

Communication is key to the future success of this company.

    Pros

    Family business with rich history

    Cons

Poor leadership and the inability to make the tough decisions to return to profitability. This company has a serious skill/talent deficit and leadership is unwilling to recognize or do anything about it -- and then wonders why we aren't profitable.

    Advice to Management

Make the tough decisions and move this company forward. Too emotionally tied to long term service team members and unable to recognize when a talent upgrade is needed.

    Pros

I like the busy season and descent product.

    Cons

Management took sides with their favorite employs and then the sharks who would sell their kids to make a sale. Usually the top sales people.

    Advice to Management

Avoid if you see favoritism, and read reviews at this site.
