  1.

    Excellent company

    I worked at Amonix

    Pros

Excellent company. Cool technology. Nice and smart people.

    Cons

Too many managers. Grew too fast and did not have succession plan. It was downhill once the CEO passed away (may his soul rest in peace).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start from scratch. Rethink the entire design. Build the product with cost in mind. Don't build a super efficient product and then try to remove cost from it. Dollar/watt or dollar/kwh (depending on who is your customer) is the only thing that matters.

I worked at Amonix full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Exciting technology
Good pay and opportunity for exposure to different areas within the company
    Great coworkers
Was well funded while I was there ('08-'10)

    Cons

    Founder was a bit wacky
Death of CEO in 2011 was the beginning of the end
    May not survive Chapter 11
Price of competing technology has dropped so fast, Amonix technology not able to compete

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As with everything within the Solar industry, costs have to be driven down. You're competing against not only other forms of solar, but traditional energy as well.
