I have been working at Anacor as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Professional and friendly environment. Competent researchers and professionals that allow an easy integration at the work place. Strong guidance from the supervisors

    Cons

It is an small company with few career opportunities for foreign workers. Some improvements at common and individual areas should be done.

    Recommends

Former Employee - Analytical Chem in Palo Alto, CA
Former Employee - Analytical Chem in Palo Alto, CA

I worked at Anacor full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Best part is the potential of the science and technology to solve medical problems. Adequate infra-structure

    Benefits are adequate

    Cons

Some managers are psycho, others are good scientists. Some mediocre, hired by last CEO for political purposes. Politics eclipses science and personnel development..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The new CEO needs to bring back some earlier senior managers, including the CSO and Med Officer. Also sever ties with those that have hung on, or protected politically by DP. Then the employees will be happier about the company and trusting of senior management.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
