Pros
Good chance to learn technical things
Cons
less space for personal career development. compensation is slightly lower than average level on the market
Pros
Great strategies and policies, which forces freshers who have not completed masters to do their masters..
Good environment for managers.
Cons
rewards and recognitions not proportional to work/value you generate.
poor management strategy - not willing to take risks.
nothing other than work.,, no social activities....
Advice to Senior Management
Think from employee perspective - they are humans and they have family too...
Atleast Motivate people through trainings, good package...
Pros
excellent culture and oppurtuinity to learn. people are really good to work with and information sharing is a key part of Analogs culture
Cons
pay could be better. i've heard that the compensation package that they offer in Ireland is slightly lower than competitors but I've no real way to justify this as I dont know what the competition pays
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what your doing. Maybe off more monetary compensation when performance reviews are good but other than that keep up the good work,
Pros
I think ADI is financially responsible. I liked that they would rather have an overall corporate shut-down during the holidays (employees must either use all vacation days or not get paid) than have a layoff.
I think mgmt usually works with the employee for balanced work life (work from home allowed) but it is not evenly given to employees.
Everyone, no matter what level, gets 2 bonuses a year.
Cons
Mgmt is very cliquey. Mgmt loves to point fingers at unders when things go wrong.
Very poor on training employees. New software comes in and you are thrown to the wolves.
They have been using the economy lately to get rid of employees. This goes against what they have been all about with loyalty and corporate shut downs to prevent layoffs.
Advice to Senior Management
Communication at the department levels need to increase especially in Sales and Distribution.
Annual Reviews and career development need to be stronger and more to the point.
ADI could afford (figuratively and monetary) to increase Employee Value perspective with maybe a corporate Christmas party or other paid for corporate event. ADI has no social aspects at all.
Pros
* Excellent Analog design skills, infrastructure and know-how
* Highly skilled engineers drawn from excellent colleges close by
* Good customer loyalty from a broad range of industries
Cons
* Ineffectual and aging leadership and senior management team
* Squandered away early forays into digital design and vertically integrated solutions
* Extremely bad pay practices for software developers
Pros
- Strong senior management.
- Laid back work place.
- Great place for work and life balance.
- Enjoy the people you get to work with.
Cons
Strong senior management, but very weak mid-level management. Too much hierarchy, with technical engineers having no managerial experience. No career progression for employees.
Pros
Good 401k match, company doesn't make it "arbitrary" in tough times
Good benefit package, strong employee assistance (emergency childcare, paternity leave)
Cons
Corporate seems to favor it's Ireland and MA engineers - important to be "known" by technology VPs located in MA in order to progress to highest technical levels. ADI is employer of choice in MA, but not in Silicon Valley - compensation is not as competitive unless you're a new hire. Very stingy with RSUs/equity program.
Advice to Senior Management
Stick with the new Marketing/Technology strategy but increase your awareness of the competitive situation in Silicon Valley and the talent that resides there!
Pros
It is a good company to start one's career, Compensation is also comparatively okay. there is no much pressure of work.
Cons
One can't stay for long time. Learning curve is not steep and also increase in salary is not as expected.
Advice to Senior Management
No advice
Pros
Good working environment (i.e. people, place).
Cons
Career advancement not as fast...
Advice to Senior Management
Great management..
Pros
Great company with great people, the work culture is such that you would want to stay here. It's engineers company and they are excellent at their job, very open to give and take feedback, lots of opportunity to grow. Flexible timings and even flexible in movement within company.
Cons
The salary is not exceptional and does not have a very active environment in terms of other activities as compared to other companies in India.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve benefits and provide some recreational opportunities to employees, if not on site then via club memberships, group outings etc.
