    Pros

A great place to work with smart people. Great culture, you get to work with patent holders, and senior engineers who respect you and mentor you. In my two years, I have seen almost no political barriers regarding work assignments. Benefits are standard. Bonus program and supplementary investment plan is very generous. At the end if you want to become be exposed to great technical tasks and become a more experienced engineer come work here!

    Cons

Recent layoffs have scared people a bit. From my experience (and comparing with my engineer friends), initial offers tend to be lower.

Great Benefits, good infrastructure for backend and quality. Experienced engineers, good learning environment

    Pros

Very open environment, Most of the people are very relaxed and realized that I was not as skilled as them so they would learn me up on everything. I loved it.

    Cons

If you are not careful you could hang yourself, so watch your step.

    Advice to Management

Communicate issues and be open to teaching. I was nervous to ask questions about things as I would think it would be a ding on me and make me look bad, other than that management was amazing!

    Pros

    Work/life balance
    Nice people
depends on which group you are assigned to and what your job function is. Front-end engineers get treated better and compensated higher.
nice bonus program, but that is because the base salary is very low

    Cons

compensation in silicon valley area is significantly below market rate
    frequent reorgs
favor sales over engineers developing products

    Advice to Management

increase salaries. be competitive. value your engineers.

    Pros

Tighten staff and projects to pursue volume growth. New leadership to put business above technology will bring short term profits.

    Cons

Lose diversity in projects and some talented staff. Long term profits may be sacrificed because the resources were cut. People may leave to seek for new opportunities.

    Advice to Management

High end products with high growth margin are always the key for high profits. However, the volume growth is always low. Without low end products at low prices, volume growth is hard to achieve.
