Micro Management and total disrespect to employees

Sales Representative (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsWorking with different retailers, every day different

ConsThis is a micro managment company. They do not respect or trust there employees, little to no recognition, always telling you that you are not doing enough but expect you to call supervisors on every little issue or everyday action. They also logg your time in store and want you to account for the time when you use the restroom. Many reps are coached to work off the clock because of no overtime. Either finish project under 40 or get fired

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you dont respect and treat your employees well they will never go the extra mile for you. Your success is determined by your front line employees. Invest in them and stop micro managing. You will lose employees and utimately clients

    Overworked and underpaid

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsYou are on your own most of the time

ConsNew pay structure means no OT,no commission (although they have "worked" that into new pay).Too many different projects going on at once. Mileage compensation is a joke

Advice to Senior ManagementReward youer employees for their efforts, and stop scheduling so many projects in such a small time frame

I was an RMS for 2 years working in Best Buy Stores .

Retail Media Specialist - RMS (Former Employee) Taunton, MA

ProsMeeting new people and new friends . Working with best buy workers was awsome. Regular merchandising was good. Hours were good.

ConsThey expected 3 days of work to be done in 4 hrs time. DM used to text people constantly at all hours from late at night to early in the morning to remind people what needed to be done the next day and was not suppose to be contacting off the clock and waking people up that had cell phones and interrupted there sleep. UNREAL !!!! The DM has no other life outside of working . Survey have to be done and if not you would hear about it. DM became condenscending and 2 - faced after awhile and lied to employees constantly which I am quite sure there told to do this from corporate.I finally made the decision to say "see ya later!!. " Although Im working part time now" Im stress free" .Dont apply here the turnover is not good for this company and as of today part timers have no hours and if so its been cut as low as 4 hours now and some full timers have only 9 -16 hours to live on finacially.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat employees with more respect and dont work employees to death and allow time for projects and be more patient .Give the annual raises which is not being done. Have DM not call or text people off the clock unless it a resonable time to ask to work.

    Poor training and poor organization

Retail Media Merchandiser (Former Employee) Lakeville, MN

ProsWork independently, fair wage, clean work environment.

ConsManagement and communication for this position was extremely poor. Spent much time learning complicated organization processes, and felt training was not organized in order to do an effective job. Was a contractor working within the Best Buy stores in Minneapolis area, and supervisor was overwhelmed with amount of work.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest more in training and provide better moral support to employees.
