    Pros

Global, diversified company with opportunities for a varied and international career.
Strong focus on safety and communities.
    Generally competitive compensation.

    Cons

Complex and overly bureaucratic, frustrating the ability to get things done.
Little penalty for failure, meaning that poor quality work continues - focus on communications over genuine results.
Limited HR competence, even by the standards of multinationals.

Former Employee - Global Supply Chain Specialist in Santiago (Chile)

    Pros

One of the biggest natural resources companies in the world. Lots of opportunity for career development and mobility in the organization. Present in all continents.

    Cons

Too bureaucratic, but this is a problem of all the biggest companies out there. It's either bureaucracy or company size...
The industry is reluctant to innovations given the huge focus on production.
Pay could be better; I think they should have a higher variable pay with a proper HR mgmt system.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hear more feedback from the bottom of the pyramid; these are the people actually running the mines and they have a lot to say. Talent attraction could be improved.
