I worked at Anheuser-Busch full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Free beer helps! Everyone who works there is motivated, professional, and personable. Ownership and growth is encouraged. The benefits and compensation package is generous and exceeds necessity.

    Cons

In a workplace where everyone is working to get ahead and meet individual KPIs, there is a lack of teamwork across departments and often a rush to production or cut-corners on quality in reference to technologies. In addition, be prepared to work long hours and be someone who checks your email nonstop.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

PAUSE. Plan, build, test, and repeat early and often.

    I worked at Anheuser-Busch full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits (health insurance, Be Well program payouts/incentives), 2 cases beer/month, onsite fitness, flexible work program

    Cons

Tons of politics, they are now laying off tenured (higher paid employees) employees and instead refilling with snotty Ivy League college grads and all the experience and loyalty to the company is walking out the door. Not much control over your bonus as it's contingent on others' performance as well as yours, no salary increases (lucky if you get one at all), not much opportunity to shift between departments or move up.
They pride themselves on flexible work programs and work/life balance, but that is subject to manager opinion (which most are old-school and if your seat isn't warm and they cannot see you, you're assumed to not be working, lack of trust). Be prepared to work extra-long hours (50-60 hours/week) and little recognition or reward for hitting KPIs and targets, especially if the company and/or your boss doesn't hit theirs.

    I worked at Anheuser-Busch

    Pros

Flexible schedule, free beer, great contacts and fun! Some travel opportunity and option to move up.

    Cons

The management changes frequently and they shove everyone out of their way in order to move ahead. If you are working as a contracted employee they pretty much treat you with no respect even if you have an MBA. There are alot of loopholes in their tracking systems and managers at the wholesalers are extremely unprofessional. There is very inconsistent communication between corporate, wholesalers and vendors. You have to report your work through several different applications that gets reported to corporate then you are told to do it all over again for the wholesaler since those channels apparently don't communicate with eachother. Keep in mind you are working only 30 set amount of hours yet you end up working like 50.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper Management needs real people skills and professionalism. Perhaps a few courses in management??

    Pros

Good pay if you are willing to work hard.

    Cons

Middle management that shows no loyalty to devoted workers! When you get hurt, and you WILL, they will find a way to get rid of you and kick you to the curb!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire middle management for fleet operations from rank-and-file. Not college educated no life experience upper management drones!

Who wouldn't want to be the beer (wo)man!

I worked at Anheuser-Busch as an intern

    Pros

Just the name Anheuser-Busch carries with it a lot of tradition and history. Good salary, friendly co-workers, great company culture. Lots of little perks like free beer, more relaxed dress code, lots of "happy hours" and holiday parties. Flexibility to change roles frequently.

    Cons

They boast about "no politics" but they're just at a deeper level. Very very frugal on money basically 100% of the time, which is good, but also kind of exhausting sometimes. They're very willing to ignore loyalty and commitment to the company and let people go if it saves them money. Work life balance could be way better.
