I have been working at Animas full-time

    Pros

pretty good benefits including medical and time off including work and family .Some good people there at the lower levels.

    Cons

Very poor ethics in all of upper management(especially (quality)they have teamed with employees to attack and force out some very good employees.People have destroyed documents and tat was attempted to be covered up by management They have falsified records and checked parts when they were not certified to do so and when told they blow it off. They have even taken. medical parts into the locker and bathroom area. Some people come and go from the floor and other areas and are never questioned. While some of us are afraid to breath. The code of ethics is a cover and this company needs a thorough investigation

    Advice to Management

A clean sweep of all of upper management and there friends need to be done.Or you will lose the few good remaining employees (including myself) that you have left.Arrogance need to be dropped by J & J or this company will never make it.

I worked at Animas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I honestly can not say very many positive things about this company besides the fact that its a Johnson & Johnson company and has good benefits. Thats about it.

    Cons

I worked at this company for about a year and it was one of the worst places Ive ever worked. Horrible training program. Extremely micromanaged. The leadership is incompetant and the overall moral was very low.

    Advice to Management

    Leadership needs leadership training.

    Worst J&J Company

    Pros

Ability to work for a company with a mission of helping individuals that have diabetes.

    Cons

Animas has significant potential. However with legacy "leadership" at the helm of years of disastrous poor planning and zero ability to execute, Animas is doomed to be a J&J divestiture. Animas has zero professional development and promotional opportunities due to stagnant and incompetent "leaders" that have zero ability to advance in their own careers, thus staying in their positions until they hope to retire.

    Advice to Management

Get real authentic and competent leadership that deliver with the "how" in mind, vs. the current state of continuous finger pointing in a failing attempt to preserve their own ability to survive until retirement.

I worked at Animas full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Owned by Johnson and Johnson, pay and benefits are good because they are part of Johnson and Johnson for now

    Cons

Company is in serious trouble with the FDA with multiple warning letters (2005 and 2011, see FDA website) and with the parent Johnson & Johnson for unacceptable financial performance. Very high turnover in senior technical and management ranks. Products in market are nearly obsolete compared to competition and have high failure rate. Company will likely be sold by Johnson & Johnson soon or absorbed into one of their other larger companies as a dying business unit with resultant layoffs. Ok place to apply for job if you have no current job or are certain you will loose your current job, not otherwise.

    Advice to Management

Look for an exit to save yourself and think of your underlings also when you do so

  6. Do NOT work here! Waste of time

    Pros

-good compensation -J&J discounted products -nice co-workers

    Cons

-Lack of management skills: Unprofessional, rude, boastful, unapproachable -Management is never held accountable. A lot of managers walking around doing nothing. -No career advancement: Unless you stalk a VP or constantly sit in their office, you do not have chance to move up. You will be a sales rep until you leave -Management is sneaky and not transparent, althought that is what J&J prides themselves for -Micromanaged. Calls are recorded, reps can/will be written up if you do not follow the call protocol Can't believe this is a J&J company. What a disappointment.
