I worked at Ann Taylor part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The 50% off discount is great and the additional 75% off discount is even better. And even being paid as a sales associate I was able to afford to buy the clothes . The company is great and they are very flexible . Hours are always available too(:

    Cons

Management is sometimes disorganized . The co manager and manager are most times never in coordinance with eachother . It makes it hard to complete store sets on time and you never really know when you're placing something correctly . Even though we don't work off commition it's very competitive when trying to get clients to open credit cards

The worse place I have ever worked. Very disappointed in the way employees are treated from upper management

    Pros

Well, lets see. The pay and the benefits are good if you get into management. If you are going to school, the short 4 hour shifts are good.

    Cons

Where to begin. The expectation to wear the clothing when you make minimum wage and not even 20 hours a week. The upper management is not entirely nice to the staff and create a hostile work environment when in the store. Upper management puts an emphasis on the credit card, more often than the client experience. The company cut hours, but then couldn't figure out why we were getting less credit cards and sales were going down.

    Advice to Management

Get back to the client service industry vs the credit card industry. Also, listen to the employees more and not just saying that we don't know what we are saying.
