I have been working at Ann Taylor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is work life balance. You look forward to going to work because you like what you do and who you work with. All teams pitch in to help one another out to make sure each project exceeds expectations.

    Cons

There is no room for growth. The company was just bought out so there will be major changes. Workflow doesn't always flow due to lack of communication.

    Advice to Management

communicate with your team members and make sure they have the resources they need to do there jobs. help them and meet with them weekly to understand and get to know what they do

    Pros

Enjoyed the team driven environment, employee discount and most importantly the career growth within the company.

    Cons

High sale expectations during slower months.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great training modules. One improvement...acknowledge store managers and their teams more frequently, they are after all the ones who drive the business.

I worked at Ann Taylor part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a great place to showcase your skills, they definitely promote from within if they feel that you are ready! Great employee discount that makes shipment days shopping days. Love the product! Learned most of my management skills from this company!

    Cons

If you work part-time, have full-time availability. Little work-life balance.

    Advice to Management

Remember that online and in-store shouldn't be combating for business, they should be working together. Run similar promotions or make it clear as day when a promotion is online only. Also, set attainable goals for store, not unrealistic goals.

    Pros

They paid well but that will stop as soon as the buyout is finalize .

    Cons

Although the pay was good, they work you to death. there is no work/life ballance, there always changing direction and cutting hours. They laid-off 400 Co Managers and sales leads to cut costs and hire new kids cheaper. The customer service is going to get pretty bad.

    Advice to Management

They don't listen anyway so it won't matter.

    Pros

You get paid weekly. Customers are really nice and fairly easy to deal with. It is a good first retail job. the pay is slightly above min wage.

    Cons

At this particular store they show a lot of favoritism. Nobody there really wants to be there. All the OG employees talk down to the newer employees
