    Pros

Good people and fun environment...the pace keeps things interesting and you are able to meet and deal with new people each day.

    Cons

Little growth and opportunity...for the most part, there is small openings to move around.you will be doing more lateral moves before you see actual growth in your career.

    Advice to Management

Train and coach more and recognize the potential you have while it is there and not when it is moving on.

    Pros

Discount is 50% Benefits are okay. Store set plans are good.

    Cons

DM is not engaged. Sets meetings and doesn't show or call. Uses fear tactics. Poor work life balance. Low rate of pay for job with no real support. Expectations around labor/payroll and tasks are unrealistic. A extremely reactive environment. 4 hours of training for internal promotes. Which rarely happens. 8 for a external to learn everything. I understand labor optimization. I have been through it with several companies. The grace and respect with which this is executed makes all the difference. Ann Taylor failed. I was extremely hopeful when I came to the company. From not having a hotel booked for my training, paying me as much as a CO and consistently being engaged in a negative way..... Well I am sorely disappointed and disillusioned.

    Advice to Management

Look at your DM's. People work for people. When a DM is absent that can create issues. Reinvest in your people and training. Much like Starbucks did per your training video. It will make a huge difference.

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, very understanding at accommodating with class schedules. Fun environment. Nothing too hard or complicated to be done.

    Cons

Demanding during school time off making it hard to enjoy time to go home or spend with family. Will seek your good qualities and use it against you, I was called detail oriented which I liked until it landed me an entire eight hour shift reorganizing the fixture and marketing shelves in our back room.

    Advice to Management

Pretty good overall, just remember that your part time associates are only part time for a reason.

    Cons

Recently, lots of budget cuts and therefore hours have been cut.
