    Pros

    Great Discount, great sales team

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations, over worked, unpaid overtime. The company squeezes every last bit of life out of all of their employees that work so incredibly hard for them.

    Pros

60 % off a certain number of full price items each month.

    Cons

It's hard to take advantage of the discount on minimum wage. It's a great place to work if you already have a dependable source of income, or are financially supported by someone else.

    Advice to Management

There could be more support and training opportunities. There's never any time for it during work.

  6. Rough work-life balance. Low chance of significant raise and very little room to grow quickly within the company

    Pros

great co workers, great discount, creatively fulfilling, good hours, project based, learning new skills all the time

    Cons

bad work life balance, low pay, heavy physical labor, not a lot of room for advancement, multi-tasking every second of the day.

    Advice to Management

don't ask employees to do tasks that you would not/could not do yourself. Use employees strengths. Be honest and upfront about regular work days

    Pros

Loved the Anthro discount, general work environment, and managers and sales associates were very friendly/ easy to work with. Everyone is very creative-- definitely a distinct culture of people and product.

    Cons

As a self described introvert, the position was very demanding. I constantly had to be upbeat and chat up customers. Probably obvious to everyone but myself, but I figured that if I liked the product (which I did), selling would be easy. Not so...the position took a lot of energy out of me and I eventually had to quit & find a job with limited face-to-face customer service.

    Pros

Fantastic discount, artistic decor everywhere, design projects, quality products.

    Cons

The management ruined my experience, which is one reason I resigned earlier than I had planned. There were three that I worked with, and they were super uptight, demanding and flat out rude in some cases. I had worked passed my 11pm scheduled shift, which was then 11:15 and knowing I had to come back in at 7am the next morning I had asked if I could take off as I was getting minimal sleep at that point. I was told "no", and written up. The next day, at 7 am I began doing online order and was told I wasn't working fast enough and that I had to stay later than my 4pm scheduled leave time. I was exhausted that day! I honestly really couldn't believe this, talked to another manager and she assured me it would be okay. Anyways, I put in my two weeks the day of. Not receiving 8 hours between night and morning shifts shouldn't happen, it effected my performance, and made me rethink the company as a whole. I tried to get in touch with corporate about it, but they never returned my call.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees more by giving them 8 hours minimum between schedule shifts. I also wouldn't promote stressed out, demanding supervisors.

    Pros

A very creative environment. The company culture is infectious from the product to the store displays. Being involved with the creative team is a fun experience.

    Cons

Sales associates have very inconsistent hours. The company would continue to hire sales associates when their current employees were getting 10 hours or under a week. Even when you asked for more hours, it fell on deaf ears. Managers played favorites - but that's all dependent on the managers at each particular branch. On-call shifts were horrible and made you unable to plan your day since you always had to be available. Shifts got cut a lot. This job may be great for individuals who don't really need money and just want the discount but not for serious individuals who need to earn a living.

    Advice to Management

Reward your top sales associates - give them the hours they want, don't just hire more inexperienced staff.
