Pros
Hewitt was doing very good with People management
Cons
AON consulting needs to be more peple centric
Advice to Senior Management
Be more people centric
Pros
The people were great to work with and teams I've been on always felt like family.
Cons
Temporary / contract employees sometimes aren't even given a valid reason why their contract ends. The evaluation process on some teams don't even make sense half of the time.
Advice to Senior Management
Better communication with temporary employees , about the possibilities of extending or completion of a contract
Pros
Very competitive work environment. Opportunities are great but have to be seeded out by ones self. Great brand to have.
Cons
Transition between projects can cause a pause in the career. Sometimes great amount of patience has to be maintained. Compensations are not great.
Advice to Senior Management
One needs to push themselves. Management specially Upper management should do more homework and seek out potential leaders. Not everyone volunteers themselves.
Pros
Innovative. Almost any idea is a good one. Good breadth of capabilities and opportunity to earn business through RF. Intellectually stimulating environment.
Cons
Commitment to new ideas wavers - hard to get investment/support. Culture is sometimes "we're number two so we try harder." Attracts medicrity because of meritrocity and favoritism.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't forget the people who made you who you are and committed themselves to your current success. The past is a good predictor of the future.
Pros
Aon Vietnam has the best corporate culture. We cultivate a great environment for teamwork and self-development. It is also a good place for work-life balance. There is an open communication platform throughout the company. Colleagues are also dear friends. To me, Aon was my family.
Cons
Aon paid less than fellows in the industry. The subsidiary in Vietnam was also tightly controlled by policies of the whole group, especially in terms of finance. It could be a hurdle for business development.
Advice to Senior Management
Because consulting contains a lot of cultural features, each country should be given more autonomy to customize or localize its business practices
Pros
good pay and benefits
intelligent coworkers
great clients
Cons
very decentralized, the left hand often doesn't know what the right hand is doing, management sometimes fails to take responsibility for the situations it creates, managers say all the right things but fail to support employees
Pros
No micromanaging
No questions asked when time off is needed
Professional and Respectful
Cons
No benefits or promotion for contractors
Boring and repetitious work
Far from a metropolitan area
Pros
Current Client Base
Affiliation with a brand that wins (Manchester United)
Cons
Leadership
Decision Making
Matrix Organization
Poor Sales Function
Inability to recognize faults
Compensation
Advice to Senior Management
Resign, the merger between Aon and Hewitt is not going to work.
Pros
Very good pay due to vast OT opportunities.
Great brand throughout the business community and the off-chance to work virtually.
The horrible experience known as "Aon Hewitt Navigators" will actually help with the interviewing process elsewhere.
Some genuine co-workers (whom go unnoticed.)
Cons
Cannot deliver and apathy runs through the halls.
70 hour work weeks that are insulated by OT opportunities and late night carry out to Jimmy John's and Potbelly's.
Very hard have a satisfying day; a thought shared by all.
Our customers and clients cannot rely on us and we continue to reinforce this with directionless leadership.
Throughout the department, employees are surprised and relieved when IT and systems support makes it through the day - it's a shame clients/customers have no clue. However, some do and have had the "experience."
Do not expect an accurate and timely commission check.
AON Hewitt will be able to buy themselves into this business and will one day run a seamless operation that will provide a great benefit. As of now, we are impacting lives in a reckless manner and make it an ungodly feat for a customer to regain control of their healthcare status.
Advice to Senior Management
Lighten up, lose all the different job titles and acronyms and find a plan.
Consult with your Benefit Advisors, the ones who build and maintain the relationships (you know, the relationships you continue to dismember at a relentless pace) on how to improve the customer experience and life cycle.
Watching you has been extremely dissatisfying. Upon hire, I really wanted to be impressed. I thought I was extremely blessed to be a part of this. However, your inability has taught me a great deal about myself and what I am capable of...oh,if only I knew someone who wore the same colors as I in college.
Pros
- Excellent work-life balance opportunities
- Matching 401k
- Flexible schedule based on experience. Usually after 1 year, they allow folks who meet expectations to work from home for few days in a week.
Cons
- Recently due to merger, had a reduction in benefits
- Paid time off's can no longer be carried over.
Advice to Senior Management
I wish the benefits weren't reduced and some of the old benefits remained.
