I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time

    Pros

Love the relaxed, yet professional atmosphere. There's lots of engagement initiatives and ways to get involved.

    Cons

Not everyone follows dress code policy - making it a bit unprofessional at times - business casual is taken to the extreme by some.

    Advice to Management

    Lead by example.

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time

    Pros

Flexible schedules, work remotely, family oriented, team spirit, large company, many opportunities to move to different areas, opportunity for quick growth,

    Cons

Long hours, low salary, weekend hours needed, corporate bottom line to be in the black and increase productivity with less people , benefits are expensive

    Advice to Management

Better pay increases to retain good workers. Associates are leaving for better pay and get out of the low % annual increase

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The work is engaging, impacting people's lives in tangible ways. I work in pension administration and it's easy to see how what I do matters. If I code something wrong, a person's payment might be wrong or delayed. The work environment is also good - many people work from home at least part time, if not full time. This allows for great flexibility in keeping work/life balance. Pay and benefits are ok. Nothing overly generous, but I think they are competitive.

    Cons

Because so many people work remotely I think it's difficult for a new hire to get up to speed. There isn't that person in the next cube to ask questions. Pay increases are generally small - budget is 2% over the last several years, meaning in order to give someone 4% someone else gets 0%. So unless you're stellar, don't expect big raises.

    Advice to Management

Keep communicating. Over the last year there has been far more communication in response to engagement surveys, and I think it's helping people feel they belong and know what's going on.

    Pros

I had great co-workers, the benefits were great. Food downstairs was good. Hours were great.

    Cons

I unfortunately had a bad experience with the client manager and team manager. They both had their favorites and it showed

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to listen to your staff since they do handle all the phone calls.
