  1. Happy at Home....... A pretty chill atmosphere. You can only burn yourself here. By NOT MEETING your #'s.

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

As long as your #'s are right and you come to work and are not late, you have a Job. You get 4 minutes after your start time to log in. 5 minutes and up you are late.

    Cons

No raise, unless you supersede the expectation. Expectations are met-no raise. You get raises based promotional criteria.

I have been working at Aon Hewitt

    Pros

Decent hourly pay opportunity to earn extra money when making plan sales

    Cons

they seemed to not want to pay you the bonus for making sales as they kept pushing back pay out dates on top of them not fixing glitches with agents getting credit for their sales. Also. If you don't live in Charlotte you are just a seasonal employee. Even if they offer you a permanent position it's just to keep you there until they don't need you anymore.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You all talk about being transparent. That's a joke. You all really need to work on that. Big time. Also. Stop sending out emails and doing conference calls and calling that training

Flexibility is great, but growth is a problem if you aren't willing to follow the set path they have for you.

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexibility is wonderful. Good benefits are offered.

    Cons

Leadership is constantly repeating the same messages which are great to hear, but there is little follow through on those messages. While the Benefits offered are great, the employee cost has been raised by a large amount the past few years forcing me to take a completely different option. At the same time, raises continue to go down each year. Management hides things from clients on a regular basis putting those doing the work in jeopardy because they will throw you under the bus if things actually come out. Good employees are overworked because they can't "trust" certain associates to do the job right.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to get more involved in at the bottom levels to really get an idea of what is going on. You have managers that aren't doing a good job but won't ever know that since managers aren't reviewed by their associates. Its going to get worse and worse because you are losing good people. Associates don't feel supported by management and meetings usually just get cancelled. There is a lack of feeling that the managers actually care and want you to succeed.

  7. Customer Service Reps Are Treated Like Animals

    I worked at Aon Hewitt

    Pros

Easy To Get Hired. If you have a 9th grade education level, you'll get hired. If you desperately need a job, it's better than collecting unemployment.

    Cons

Customer Service Reps treated like beasts of burden. Tedious, stressful procedures for garbage pay. Hiring the dregs of society for these position is the norm since no one with any sanity would tolerate this nonsense.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't treat grown men and women like 9 year olds. Maybe your employee turnover rate wouldn't be to the moon.

I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The work-life balance is okay now that they made changes in the past year. The benefits are also a perk.

    Cons

Managers push additional work off on employees so they do not have to do the work and just sit at their desk and stay in meetings all day, or leave the job location. The pay is not acceptable for the amount of work that is placed on employees. They claim to give the spill of we will take your open and honest feedback and apply it, but watch what feedback you give, if you are not in good with the management team they will find a way to get rid of you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice is to practice what you preach to employees, do not just say something and not do it. Also be honest with employees and don't make them feel like they have to be quite and not make friends at work and more management involvement and engage and reward your employees for their feedback or ideas, and not target them for providing feedback.
