Current Employee - LOA Claim Manager in Orlando, FL

    Pros

Pretty Good Benefits, relaxed dress code

    Cons

Lack of true culture, promotion can be based on "who you know", poor communication and a lot of confusion

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try using a true incentive plan and reward method, (fail & punish method not working)
    Be proactive instead of reactive
Stop taking on new major clients before employees are in place to handle the workload
Hire managers that really know what it means to "manage" and have experience

    Pros

They offer great health benefits and the environment is professional, yet laid back.

    Cons

They could tweak the incintive and advancement policies. Your location and manager determine your advancement and earning potential more than the fruits of your labor.

Current Employee - Customer Service Associate in Orlando, FL

    Pros

The pay, some of the benefits

    Cons

Poor team Leads, they are too busy trying to advance and not really understanding what you are asking them. The one in Orlando Fl, has a lot of Ghetto un professional managers and team leads, poor leadership skills, they are huge on having cliques, and helping only their friends and family. Barely team morale, not really big on team players. They dress and act very unprofessional.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to management, train your managers better, and make sure you are having weekly huddles to make sure things are going as planned.

Current Employee - Benefits Service Manager in Norwalk, CT

    Pros

The flexibility, in terms of working from home, alternate work-arrangements, etc.; is unparalleled. The people are great too.

    Cons

The growth path is very limited. Team staffing is also very limited so mostly everyone is overworked. The firm sets somewhat unreasonable profit goals and due to the staffing issues and pressure to meet financial goals, the quality of work suffers which is disengaging.

Current Employee - Senior Business Analyst in North Chicago, IL

    Pros

Good pay, benefits. Large, stable company. Opportunity to work virtually - improving work/life balance.

    Cons

Career pathing - sometimes feel you are stuck in your slot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't load your lower level managers with so much "work" that they cannot manage their employees successfully. Managers often do not have the time to provide career guidance.

Upper management - never say on a conference call when discussing lower bonuses for the year that "you'd like to think people work here for more reasons than just money". Well, yeah, maybe we do, but money is a big piece of it. Raises are usually low and bonuses make that up.
